My girlfriend made reservations for us to come here and I invited two couples to join us. The Music and dancing (entertainment) was ok. Highly energetic so I must applaud the dancers and flamenco musicians. The food was just OK. I'm sure if we came to the later dinner/show, it would have been a more intimate and better experience. Maybe... More

They removed vegan paella from their menu. My email inquiry received no answer! This place was vegan friendly a year ago, but we will not come again.

The sad thing about Los Angeles is that although it is one of the most popular and famous cities in the world, they have absolutely no concept of their own history! If you leave a newspaper out on the lawn for over three days, it is suddenly made a historical treasure. They are “tear-down” happy there. And worse yet, what... More

What an interesting and enjoyable evening. We arrived early and enjoyed a drink at the outside bar/terrace which was unique. Once inside, the theater is small and personal, perhaps 40 to 60 guests. The service was prompt and helpful. The show was great, a wonderful place to go on a date. Everything is "a la carte" so it wasn't inexpensive,... More

Came here for late night drinks and food. The place is very eye appealing. We got drinks and food at the outside bar and relaxed in the courtyard. The sangria was amazing as well as the lamb skewers.

Don't let the entrance fool you, once you walk down the funky stairs and enter the restaurant it is fantastic. I loved the ambiance! It is great for groups, families with older children and couples. I have seen my share of flamenco shows and Manuel Guiterrez is amazing and he is bringing in great dancers. We had a group of... More

Came here for a CD release party. The place was burning up hot although it was nice outside on the patio. The food was average but a little pricier for not much better quality. Service was not that great either. Unimpressed

The atmosphere is great and El Cid's is legendary BUT the food is so so. I will go again to listen to bands and have drinks but eat before you go.

This is a classic and charming slice of LA's rich history. Sadly, it belongs in a history book. Looking for something outside of our westside bubble, we noticed an advertisement in LA Weekly for El Cid's flamenco dinner show. That seemed like a great idea- in theory. The reality, however, was a great disappointment. Beginning with the location: it's between... More

Food, service, ambiance and flamenco performance was wonderful. We have no complaints about our experience. The food and the memosas were excellent along with the waiters, they were very friendly and nice. My fiance and I had such a romantic time that we will definately be heading back as soon as possible. I say that all of the staff were... More

El Cid offers a romantic blend of dining, history, and entertainment that is unique, mystic, and beautiful hidden in the heart of Hollywood. With a history of great entertainment and a new variety of late night and dinner shows to choose from, El Cid is known today as a landmark of Hollywood! Come join us every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening for El Cid's signature Spanish Flamenco Dinner shows. With its bewildering beauty and passion, Flamenco has gained fans worldwide. Flamenco is a unique spectacle, captivating for all. Think of the fire, the passion and the defiance of those stomping feet, making Spanish flamenco dance an integral part of Spain's culture. With its roots deeply embedded in Andalusia, the southern region of Spain, flamenco is a passionate music and dance art form. No two shows are ever the same. Prior to the shows, guests are welcome to continue to enjoy this quick "getaway" to Spain with El Cid's menu of Spanish and locally-inspired entrees, tapas, sangria, and a full bar, either outdoors in El Cid's charming Spanish-style courtyard, complete with fountains and old world Mediterranean tiles or indoors in the old-world Spanish-style tavern showroom. The cost for the Flamenco shows are $15.00 Per person and tickets should be purchased online in advance to guarantee seating. Please visit our calendar here to choose a performance and purchase tickets. Tickets include the show only. Food and drink is a la carte and there is no minimum. On Fridays (shows at 7:30 pm) Saturday (shows at 7:45 pm) Flamenco performances are an El Cid original with Angelita Concerto Flamenco. Angelita has been performing at El Cid since 1989 and we're thrilled to have Angelita back with her great experience and love for the Spanish art, performing traditional Flamenco with members of her dance company. As a special treat, Juan Talavera, one of the original owners of El Cid, joins Angelita on stage, once a month, to relive El Cid's historic past which continues with the classic styling of pure flamenco. On Sundays (shows at 5:30 pm)
