Delicious breakfast and felt like a taste of an LA institution. Great value and set up for the day - portions are large!

If you love pie, you'll love DuPar's. Pie by the slice, nearly every kind of fruit pie you can think of, all freshly made. I had a slice of cherry pie -- the fruit was bursting with flavour and the crust was flaky and buttery.
Du-Par's was a pleasant surprise. We stopped in for breakfast before heading to the museums. The staff are attentive and friendly. Their service was great. I had to try their famous pancakes and I wasn't disappointed. Trying to find another trip to LA so we...More
Good and plenty comfort food in a hardwood classic sit-down restaurant out of the 60's. Attentive and fast service, average(rhubarb pie crust) -to-outstanding (blue-berry muffin/hash browns) food. Prices quite reasonable - especially given that the adjoining Market is such a tourist hot-spot. If you can't...More
I chose DuPar's because of its location close to my hotel. I only ordered oatmeal, which was delicious. My partner ordered ham and cheese omelette. My oatmeal had a few berries and sugar already mixed in. It tasted good. It was satisfying too, it won't...More
One of my favourite stops when passing through this area of LA. Highly recommended for the traveller. Nothing too fancy but heart warming food and pleasant atmosphere make it a classic American experience.
We visited here a few years ago and we really enjoyed their soup, turkey sandwich and cherry pie combo meal and wanted to have it again (went back twice on that trip to LA). Terrible experience this time; the soup of the day was lentil...More
LOVED IT! Hadn't been back here since I was a kid. The red leather booths are still there and still comfy. And everything was excellent. Pancakes were some of the best I've had in a restaurant. The portions, especially the Combo Plate, were huge. The...More
Went there for early lunch on a quick trip to LA and really did not want to do the farmers market again. Wow! What a find. Reviews said pancakes were the best. They weren't wrong. The 3 stack is plenty. Don't overdo it on the...More
If you like Pancakes, this is a MUST. These were the best pancakes I have every had. Light and fluffy with lots of real butter and a choice of maple or boysenberry syrup. An old fashioned LA restaurant well worth the visit.
