I came here for breakfast because the hostel I stayed at was near to here. The place was decorated as a really old style diner and the staff was really friendly and funny. I had avocadoes and eggs toast with orange juice, the food was...More

As expected old Hollywood style food was great, I had an awesome pumpkin pie and iced tea. Totally recommend it. Service however was rather poor, I felt rushed and was spoken abruptly to when I filled in the tipping receipt incorrectly. Honestly haven't had any...More

Very good food. Great vibe, great service, but expensive. Skip the OJ...it's the best orange juice I've ever had but it's $6 per glass! Because of that I would give it a 4.5 if I could. Classic and recommended!

I'm all about he 1950-60s vibe so this was a true pleasure. I had a rootbeer float, grilled cheese and ffs (comfort food). It was really good. We choose to sit outside and watch the traffic and people.

Food was good and not too expensive. The waiters are smiling and have been very patient and kind with me and my terrible English. I loved this place.

My friends and I visited the Hollywood Museum and chose to have lunch at Mel's Drive-in which is in the same building. A cute retro-50s look chainlet restaurant. We had no wait for lunch even though they were doing a brisk business. The menu is...More

We found this iconic restaurant for breakfast. The food was great , even to the waiter splitting our shared bacon and fruit over 2 plates! Great food, good service , price reasonable .

I apologize for a very delayed, and recognizably likely too late answer (I have been to the ER twice in the past 3 weeks). The answer is yes. I hope you had a wonderful visit and found Mel's as delightful as I did.
