In an historic building, quite interesting, in the heart of Hollywood Boulevard,a place for a good lunch. The food is typical American, fisk, pork, sandwiches or not, very good quality. The California wine, not to be missed. Service was perfect and the place to be visited.

I've been to the pig 'n' whistle a couple of times now and I can really recommend the Penne a la Vodka. With or without shrimp: Both delicious! If you like a snack and a beer happy hour with appetizers at the bar is perfect. Definitely worth a stop!! Great atmosphere.

We stopped here for dinner and drinks yesterday. We dined early so it wasn't very busy. This is a spacious old pub with much charm. Our server was very friendly and attentive. After drinks we had dinner salads (steak, quinoa) Both were large and delicious. Would definitely return.

Stopped by for Happy Hour and I got happy. We had appetizers too. The food and drink were good for happy hour prices. Real old bar nothing modern in there except the flat screen TVs.

Part of the hollywood walk history so we decided to drop in for a bite to eat. We were quickly shown to a table and soon ordered. I had steak and wife had ribs. Later was very flat and we feared the worst for the food. To our joy it was very tasty and hit. Very reasonably priced and service... More

Honestly the reason for the good review was the service.......constant water refills, free soda refills, we dropped a knife and without even asking a waiter had replaced it before we even realised. The food wasn't bad, had some ups and downs but overall ok. The place had a good vibe too. Get the window booth so you can watch the... More

Our waitress was great! (Letitia I believe) We both had the ribeye with red wine reduction...wow! Best steak I have had in a while. Would definitely go back if ever in the area.

Enjoyed a delicious light brunch there (just what I was looking for), fab service and then realized I'd forgotten I attended an ATM on site..fantastic staff were good enough to bear with me due to my (own) confusion over the card bill back home, super friendly and understanding. Much kudos to the chef, waitress and manager.

Stopped in for lunch while playing tourists on Hollywood Boulevard, and it's exactly what I expected. A bit overpriced and a bit bland. But still fun and part of the experience. Not sorry we went.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
