Needed a cool and quiet place for delish Mexican food. This place hit the spot. We are in LA for 3 weeks and will be back.

We are visiting Hollywood and heard that this restaurant was very good. However, our family found the food very poor. All of us are mexican food "foodies" with broad experience in numerous mexican restaurants in SoCal. One of my favorite dishes are fajitas which the...More

Taste, beans, rice, tamale, Chile relleno, taco, and fajitas were absolutely mediocre. Who ever heard of lots of celery in fajitas? They were there as a filler. Extremely dark, takes some time before your eyes become a just ed. The decor is old style but cute. The...More

The food was fantastic, portions very large and service exceptional. Marguerita was both large in size and very strong. The place was buzzing with birthday parties and quiet diners.

We all loved our delicious lunches. I am a bit surprised that they so not have a lunch sized portion, but everything was delicious with great service. The guacamole was perfect.

We were not impressed. If I never eat here again it will be too soon. It didn't taste like traditional Mexican cuisine at all

Have you ever gone to a restaurant where everything seems to go wrong? El Compadre was that place. We went there for dinner, based upon the glowing reviews. Everyone mentions their excellent margaritas. The drinks were the one and only excellent thing we had. There...More

Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie
stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day,
tourists flock here from around the world to see the
iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to
catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close.
Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas
the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and
hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night
