This was one of the highlight meals of my visit to LA. I miss quality Asian food in the country where I currently reside, and this was... like I was eating Dim Sum in Hong Kong! I had a crispy crap/shrimp dumpling set, chicken dumplings, chicken and spinach, pork, and a few I am forgetting. The only one I did... More

We arrived at prime lunch time during the week and there was no wait. We filled up on some great dim sum. They have a lunch special menu, but we only ordered on thing off of it. The veggie spring rolls were awesome and I loved the steamed pork buns. Everything we got was great, but these were my favorites.... More

Very good dim sum menu. Love that they use photos so you know what you are getting. The dumplings are delicious and the shrimp/eggplant dim sum was excellent. Service was good. The place is large but the decor is a bit dated. Very good meal at a decent price.

I have been to many dim sum places in LA and this one is outstanding. You can have dim sum at the proper time or you can have it for dinner. Never been disappointed. Chicken shi mui, juicy and flavorful, radish cakes done to perfection, chow mein not greasy and quite flavorful.

Arrived around 1.30pm weekday. Waited 20mins even though I could see 1/3 of the tables were vacant. Service was slow, servers were aloof like other reviewers mentioned. Nice dark wood decor. Food was neither good nor bad. Esp didn't like the obvious chunks of pork fat in pork and shrimp shumai. Okay to come if around the area, but I... More

My family wanted to find the best dumpling house in L.A. and I think we did. We ordered course after course of every dumpling, pot sticker and won ton we could, and each course was as phenomenal as the others. If you like great Chinese food, this is some of the best we've ever had, and on par or better... More

The place was recommended to us by our tour guide. Since I love potstickers, v decided to give it a try. There were a fair number of people on monday night. The ambience is quiet nice. The real star was the food. Spicy chicken potstickers were our fav ( not really spicy but yummy). The veggie was good too. So were... More

We went to Bao Dim Sum on a Saturday mid-morning; we were planning on going to China Town, but an accident on the freeway had crazy backed-up traffic...the restaurant was a small, neighborhood place with a hipster feel...parking was available on the side street in the neighboring multi-plexes. Overall, average experience with average flavors - especially for the pricing...there are... More

I love dim sum. But most of the best places are dives, or holes in the wall. This is a special occasion dim sum place. They have a full bar. They have ambiance (it's not garish red and gold). They have a photo menu. Try the spicy chicken dumpling (our favorites), the juicy pork dumpling (best seller), and the chicken... More

Undoubtedly the worst dim sum and possible the most disgusting dining experience. The dumplings were oversized and fell apart. Ordered many dishes that ranged from disgusting (unrecognizable meat) to below average. Unhygienic, poor performance--should be shut down.
