Gladstones has been a fixture for culinary epicureans since 1972, on the corner of Sunset and Pacific Coast Highway. In fact they are right on the ocean, and if you feel a bit guilty after the meal, you can stroll down to the beach! Known...More

Nice location, friendly stuff! Especially if you are located at the frontline inside or outside - the clam chowder I really enjoyed!

This is the second time that I've been here and it never disappoints. The waitress we had was so nice and accommodating. Food is great and I highly recommend you book a book inside by the window. It's right on the ocean. If you're visiting...More

Ocean front restaurant. Good food but a little expensive. Had the lobster roll and my sister had the clam chowder and tacos. She thought the soup was one of the best she has had. Also costs $10 for parking and there is no validation.

We came in, with memories of long-ago previous visits dancing in our heads. We happened to be in Malibu and talking about this restaurant and decided to go by, for old-time's sake. We, perhaps, should have realized it was a bad idea when we paid...More

Salty soup and fish and chips that were iffy at best spoiled a very beautiful view and excellent service. Would not return, but its a shame, because the location is excellent.

The gentleman that greeted us and called us family was great! He was very welcoming and accommodated our request for a window table. Waiter was great, attentive and made nice recommendations. The food was delicious and fresh! The only reason for the 4 star instead...More

Every year or two I visit Gladstones. It is a great location and I have always enjoyed it. Today, I felt the menu limited, expensive and food very ordinary. In all fairness, the service was excellent and, of course, the venue has all ocean views...More

This is a great restaurant. We came here after our visit to the Reagan Presidential Library. Parking is valet but it is worth it. They have inside and outside seating so it doesn't really matter what the weather. Full bar with specialty drinks and a...More

The other answers here have it right - our dress code is casual! Shirt, bottoms and shoes required, however.

After several recent incidents we have amended our policy. Currently we only allow service animals in the restaurant, including the patio area.

In a world where landmarks are few and far between there is Gladstone's. Situated where Sunset Boulevard meets the Pacific Coast Highway, it's become a place of Southern California legend. One visit and you'll see why. Gladstones offers a menu plucked from the very ocean it overlooks, serving modern renditions of classic dishes as well as favorites from the land. In its typically relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, there's something to satisfy every palate. Whether you're at the raw bar, the lounge, the dining rooms or the grand patio overlooking the surf, it's commonly agreed there's no better place on the coast to enjoy fresh seafood, a Mai Tai or the most beautiful sunset views in SoCal. Book a reservation by phone or web or stop by and enjoy the experience.
