This excellent pizza place is tucked away in a nondescript strip mall on Pacific Coast Highway. Not much to see from the outside. Been there a couple of times now and I don't see why people think it's so good. The pizza and salad bar were average. I guess it's fine for little leagues because it's not expensive.
The same people have owned it for generations. We've been going here since my kids, (now grown ) were little. Will go with their kids
Great neighborhood pizza parlor, family run operation. I don't think the owners ever take a day off!! Always friendly, polite, cordial, great service, great pizza, salad bar, beer on tap, lots of sports on TV, and very reasonably priced. If you like french bread pizza then Red West Pizza is your local place to get it fresh. Very clean and cozy, they even have a few 80's video games.
I was really happy to find out about the Lomita location of Red West. I had been to the Wilmington location twice and enjoyed the food and beer but the parking is limited and the spaces tend to be narrow. Not a good thing when...people are driving monster SUVs and squeezing them into the spaces. The food at Lomita is just as good and the owner/manager (?) is a lot nicer than the guy in Wilmington. It's a cool place to chill and the prices are fair. I recommend getting the family size, a very good deal. Beer prices are fair and they have some good beers on tap like Blue Moon, Pacifico, XX, & Sam Adams.More
This place has been around for ever, and my best friends Mother ordered from here for at least 20 years, and the quality has always been good. Its Large enough for a group, and not to bad on the price. also a lot of stores...in the area if you are shopping, and a lot of small not expensive hotels, and a few real nice ones. Great place! Great pizza and potato wedges! Since its a former shakeys Pizza they have arcades for kids too! Prices are very affordable too!
