Had some excellent fresh fish for lunch. It is very small but we found that it wasn't too busy for lunch.

Loved the food here, I think it is probably one of the top 5 fish dishes I've ever had, pricy but not overpriced given the quality of the food.
This little place seems to keep finding great chefs and management and the latest is awesome. As the name suggests, be ready for great fish. Start with whatever oysters they have fresh and a different vinegar herb dip that really worked to replace a standard cocktail sauce. I had the yellow fin tuna perfectly rare with some concern that the... More
Went there couple days ago. The appetisers and mains of sable fish and cod were excellent. Service was good. Enjoyed there meal.
Heard from friends about this place so gave it a try. We were the first ones seated when they opened so was given a window table. Great, we thought! But to look out at the ocean we first had to look over the big blue garbage can, all the empty boxes and other garbage. Wait staff was very friendly but... More
This is a small little place attached to the Little River post office on HWY 1. Blink & you'll miss it. Everything is locally sourced, especially the fish. The chef prepared my 4-course meal expertly. Started with a dozen Humboldt oyesters, had the Bibb salad with carrot hummus and then the grilled swordfish. It was perfectly seared but firm and... More
Four of us dined here, sharing oysters with a savory granita, delicious. A fish stew was also rich and complex. Service in the small space was quite sophisticated for the coast. The host, a Brit, was charming and very interested in seeing that diners were happy and well fed. Plan ahead and make your reservation.
Wonderful restaurant in a great location overlooking the wild Mendocino coast. The preparation is terrific but the seafood is so fresh it is almost a shame to add anything beyond butter. The fis is perfectly cooked. Several diners were coming back every night of their vacation. Pricey but worth it
Celebrated our anniversary at the Wild Fish. It is a tiny restaurant with only 9 tables. Would recommend getting reservations if going on the weekend. The food was divine! The wine was divine! The wait staff excellent. There is a view of the ocean from a couple of the tables. But believe, you go there for the food.
This is my favorite restaurant in the Mendocino area for the past 3+ years for dinner and lunch. Wild Fish is a small place that sources their fish sustainably and their produce locally…Big thumbs up from me. The preparation of the food is inventive and always delicious on every one of our visits. My go-to “staples” are the fish tacos... More
