The food is great. In the summer they have live bands that go well with the Mango Margaritas!!! The lines can be long so get ready to wait a bit but the service is friendly and there is a gift shop you can look around in with pricing that beats Yosemite AND Neighboring Communities.

We stopped off here for lunch after leaving Yosemite because the place had rave reviews in our guidebook (not the first time that Lonely Planet let us down on this trip). The deli looks the part with lovely views over the lake and a nice indoor and outdoor seating area. The menu also looks exciting, but boy was it rubbish.... More

Stopped here after driving from Vegas on our way into Yosemite. $3.85/gallon for gas here. Pretty sure it was cheaper in the park! Hot Dogs were HUGE and the fries were the crispy kind. AWESOME! Nice little gift shop here too. The food was high priced for grill food but it was at the entrance to a national park so... More

I think it is ridiculous that trip advisor forces me to write 100 characters when all I want to say is that it is closed until April in order to help my fellow travelers.

As we left a Yosemite bereft of open restaurants (shoulder season) Whoa Nellie deli was a life saver! And what a fab place - plastic plates belied restaurant standard food served with proper mugs of coffee. Loved It!

We had to stop for gas on the way to Yosemite and decided to get breakfast as well and it was a great break and good food. The view over Mono Lake was wonderful while eating.

It was very early in the morning and cold so my wife and I decided to get some breakfast. I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. My sandwich was big and tasty. My wife just got a bagel. We were served quickly. Prices were also good.

Went here with some friends while in the Sierras. They raved about it; my opinion is that the food is just fine. Nice outside eating area too. Not sure it lived up to its fabulous reputation. It was just OK- I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again, but a fun experience to see everyone that comes... More

I am so glad we followed the recommendation of a fellow reviewer and went off highway 395 to find this place. We arrived on a Saturday during fishing season and the place was packed. We almost left when we saw how crowded it was and that this was an order-at-the-counter place, but we're so glad we stayed. We noticed items... More

Yes, In the Marathon gas station is a gourmet delli! Didn't beleive it but checked it out...it's true. The smell when you enter is scrumptious. With too many choices we ordered too much food. I had the grilled veggie sandwich w/potato salad and 1/2 portion of clam chowder, my wife had their word famous fish tacos. My lunch turned into... More
