We are in the bay area quite often and rely on Amarin every time! We have a vegan in the family and Thai food is always the perfect option. We order Pat se Yu with tofu, vegetable fried rice, yellow curry with shrimp and sometimes the Pad Thai. Delicious!!!

This long time Lafayette Thai restaurant has changed hands and really gone down hill. Prices are way up, taste is way down. Worst Pad Thai I have ever tasted, no flavor, minimal peanuts, tofu not properly sautéed. Tom Ga Kai soup with rubbery chicken, awful and tough. Pumpkin curry, very watery curry with no flavor, minimal pumpkin added. Much too... More

After just arriving in town for the holiday, we decided to do take out. We chose Amarin and the food was excellent. We had the Pad Thai, Currey with Chicken, Curry with vegetables with both brown and white rice. We enjoyed the food and the convenience of their take out which was ready in a timely manner. We would go... More

The people at Amarin really make the experience. They are totally welcoming and also will walk through the menu to make sure the diner understands what they will be getting. The curries are seriously delicious and they've got great sauces as well (think satay). It's a nice interior with tables spaced enough to allow individual conversation.

I was a bit shy about trying Thai food. I had always figured that 'spicy' meant 'hot' -- that is NOT the case with Thai food, which is savory spicy and aromatic. We ordered take out, and picked it up on the way home from work: Veggies Pad Thai, Grilled Honey Pork with Bok Choi, Brown Rice, and Garlic Prawns.... More

Whenever we visit friends in the bay area we always have to plan a night or two at Amarin's in Lafayette. Tom and his staff are so friendly and accommodating. The food is over the top! We always order from the specials list for surprising combinations and specialties. What a treat! We had two nights at Amarin's this trip. Thank... More

My husband and I frequent Amarin when we want Thai food. The food is always good and the servers attentive. This evening I had crispy fried tofu and it was delicious - and Thai beer - of course.

We have shared plates here a number of times, so it is about time I write a review. We find the food to be consistent, tasty, and plentiful. We (family) share several plates, and enjoy the mixture of tastes, aromas, temperatures and color. The owner always greets us pleasantly, and then checks in at the end of the meal to... More

I've been going here for at least 17 years. Still the best pad Thai. Curries are good, lunch a real deal. Friendly, family owned. Clean. At least once a month!
