We had a lovely dinner one evening out on the terrace looking out over the La Jolla seals. The service was excellent and was a team effort. We started with the hummus plate which I highly recommend. The bread was hot out of the oven and the peppers and mushrooms were yummy! My wife had the yellow tailed tuna special... More

Brunch or lunch at this LaJolla restaurant roof top is something you must experience. Incredible ocean view and fun ambiance. Everything from appetizers, salads, sandwiches and, of course, mixed drinks is available. Don't hesitate to try a new food item...everything on the menu is excellent.

Wow this place is not only beautiful but the food is amazing . The bartender at the bar named Ian was super friendly and treated us with the utmost kindness. Our server Desiree however was not very pleasant. She was curt and obviously annoyed. She never offered dessert or coffee and brought the check before we even requested it. I... More

We ate at George's Modern, not for everyone's taste, but I thought the food was interesting and very well done. I had the yellowtail, carrot soup and beet salad, which were all excellent. The views at sunset were spectacular and I would also recommend a pre-dinner beverage at the bar at the terrace on the outside 3rd floor.

George's has been a place to go for good food and a spectacular view of La Jolla Cove. They have several levels to dine or enjoy the bar. It's in the heart of La Jolla. So before or after you can enjoy the shops and art galleries.

We were greeted by a lovely woman upstairs who said there was a long wait to eat up there, but we could try sitting downstairs and it has the same view and menu. That's what we did. We were seated with a beautiful view, a little different than the vibe upstairs but we had to eat because our daughter was... More

Excellent drinks, dinner and dessert on a lovely terrace with a beautiful sunset. The service was friendly, inviting and efficient. I hadn't been here for 15 years but it was better than ever.

We waited in the bar until a table was available overlooking the water. It was worth the wait. Table seating is close together, as expected in a large city and tourist area. But it was fine. The view while we ate was very nice. Service and food were great. Nice menu selections.

George's obviously has a breath-taking view, but the food and beverages are even better! My husband and I had a reservation for Saturday afternoon, we were seated promptly by a very nice hostess. Every seat on the roof top is amazing! We ordered and received our drinks and food quickly, service was great!

Description
George's at the Cove is a renowned three-level dining destination located in the heart of La Jolla overlooking the Pacific Ocean and northern coastline. We offer three distinct restaurant and bar concepts – one fine dining and two casual – with stunning ocean views and award-winning cuisine.

Known for its splendid rooftop setting, the popular George’s Ocean Terrace – complete with a newly expanded and elevated bar – offers casual al fresco fare for lunch and dinner that is perfectly complemented by sweeping ocean views.

Recently reinvented from floor to ceiling, the all-new George’s Level2 – located on the second level – is elevating the craft of cocktails with housemade ingredients and handcut ice. Featuring all the classics and innovative modern creations, like the signature Sea3, Level2 offers a variety of cocktails well-suited to any taste.

On the lower level, George's California Modern is a contemporary fine dining restaurant and bar featuring seasonally-driven California cuisine. Guests are invited to explore “San Diego on a plate” through a la carte or tasting menus inspired by the lifestyle, ingredients and sense of place that is San Diego.

Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to enjoy the San Diego lifestyle to its fullest, George’s at the Cove is an essential part of any visit to the region.
