We visited Kalamath, CA on September 30 and, although I had tried to book a room at the Requa Inn, a 1914 vintage hotel with 22 rooms, I couldn't get a reservation. I then booked at the Holiday Inn Express in Klamath. Upon checking in at the hotel about 3 pm, they gave me a listing of discounts which included... More

My wife and I like historic lodges so we picked Requa Inn for dinner when visiting Redwood NP. (Couldn't stay there because no handicapped accessible room, but restaurant - and bathroom - was very accessible.) The family style approach was really a nice change for us and we met and gabbed with some really fun and interesting travelers. The food... More

Family style dining so you will probably end up dining with some interesting people or foreign travelers. The food was out standing. Easily one of the best meals I have had. The young chef (a family member of the owners) did a fabulous job. Keep in mind though the dining is a one time sitting and special requests need 24... More

I have heard so much about this restaurant that I was excited to eat here but was disappointed by the meal. It was bowls of family style food - not worth the experience. Pass

Went to the Requa Inn for father's day brunch with a family group after having previously enjoyed a dinner here years before. The time in between didn't favor guests! new chef? Appetizers were left-over-beef sliders that along with the sickeningly sweet "champagne" was nearly enough to make you barf! We should have run, but with three "fathers" at the table... More

I stayed here for two nights with my two kids while visiting the Redwoods. I thought it would be cute and fun for them to stay someplace a little different. It wasn't terribly comfortable for us just because our rooms were small without much space to move around or hangout. I guess you are expected to hangout downstairs in the... More

Excellent meal, great variety, and lovely setting and presentation of food. Dessert was the least tasty, but the rest of the meal made up for it.

Our drive up the Redwood Highway was scenically spectacular, but it was gastronomically remarkable because of the Requa Inn! Not a fan of B&B's, my partner had insisted that we stay in a motel in Crescent City, at which point I began searching for a "real" dinner reservation nearby. Reviews on this site led me to the Requa Inn, where... More
