Open for indoor & outdoor dining. At the gateway to the Sequoia National Forest, Kern River Brewery is Kernville's only brewpub. This makes KRBC much more than just a restaurant; it's an attraction in itself. Keeping the names of the beer local, providing a simple yet diverse menu and having a comfortable place where everybody knows your name, Kern River Valley residents and visitors alike have found themselves at home.

Nice local brewing company with restaurant. Beer was great, food was good (burgers, wings, fish tacos etc) Service was excellent. We ate here two days in a row and our waitress recognised us - and even remembered what we ate the day before!
Nice little brewery in this small town. There's a reasonable amount of parking but you may have to park on the street too.
Now there's nothing fancy about this place and it definitely has that "locals" feel to it. Nice people and nice staff. There's...both indoor and outside seating. With awesome temperatures in May, the outside seating area was packed.
On our visit, I tried the fish & chips. The waffle fries were good, but the fish was just so-so. I've definitely had a lot better elsewhere, but they did the trick. I also had a couple Chuuurch (beer) pints...I liked it! Nothing to rave about here, no objections to eating or drinking here again.More
The beer was the only thing that was good !
The food was horrid … waffle fries were stretchy! Potato doesn’t stretch !
The chicken sandwich was ok but extremely indigestible…
Goodness knows why this is such a highly rated place !
We went here with a large group with a reservation and when we got there they had made no preparation for us and we had to stand around until people cleared out. Not good. The atmosphere is mediocre but the place looked clean. Now to...t food. The hamburgers are good on a nice bun. But they serve them with some marginal waffle fries. Don't order t fish and chips. We were told they were hand breaded cod but they looked and tasted like Mrs Pauls frozen fish sticks. The pulled pork tacos etc were good. The best thing about our visit was our waitress tiny but mighty Erica. She took fantastic care of us in all ways. Ask for her. Prices are fair.More
After a long day of hiking, my friend and I visited Kern River Brewing Company. She was really happy with the Class V Stout on tap; I am not a beer drinker. But our pulled pork tacos and pulled pork sandwich had so much of...the sauce on it that you couldn't taste anything else. The waffle fries were good.More
Stopped in for supper after a day enjoying the Redwoods National Forest. We [3 of us] were quickly seated and the waitress quickly took our order.
Then we waited and waited... and waited. After 45 minutes asked about our order and waitress apologized but they...were working a 'large party'. That is never an acceptable excuse. That just lets me know we're not as important as their 'large party'.
Our food arrived after 55 minutes. I had the fish and chips. The fish was warm but not hot. The waffle fries were warm and not crisp... limp and somewhat soggy.
A member of my table had the Lil' Momma burger. It was cold in the center and had to be sent back for a re-cook and the waffle fries were as undercooked as mine.
The 3rd member of my table ordered a veggie burger. There were no complaints on that.
When back in the area will probably choose another of the many eating establishments in the area in hopes of quicker and better food.More
I have been eating fire camp food for three weeks, so I’m not sure if it was hunger or it really was that great but I loved my Tuscan chicken salad. Wonderful mix of ingredients -
Chicken, almonds, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, feta. Just wonderful....The white bread with melted provolone was an underwhelming accompaniment. I would try to do something about that if I was the chef. Great service,
Beer, meal! Thanks!More
