I didn't know what type of dishes to expect from these two very young chefs! My husband and I saved this restaurant for our 28th anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed! From the host who seated us to meeting the chefs at the end of the meal, it was one great Surprise after another. Our server, Richard was politely... More

I was looking forward to good wine and good food at the Spoonbar. Location is ideal - right on the main drag at the end of town near 101. Despite the enthusiasm of our waiter, the service and good was a major disappointment. the place was busy and it took a while to get our menus. After ordering we waited... More

We had high hopes for Spoonbar and were let down by the food; however, the ambiance, service and drinks were very much up to par. We ordered the Chef's menu and had the risotto, Brussel sprouts, salmon, chicken, Gnudi as well as salad and deserts. The food was profoundly under seasoned and underwhelming. For the price point, we had high... More

Food: We didn't know prior to arriving but it was recommended by our server that we order dishes family style. We did not do this because we thought the prices would be really high but after eating there this is definitely the way to go. The food is very different than a normal restaurant. The food is made as fine... More

I went to Spoonbar on a Weds. night when they had their $33 tasting menu. The food was amazing--better than Chez Panisse. All the food was of excellent quality and the combination of ingredients was unusual and delicious. Plus I could bring my dog and sat by the french doors enjoying the music and breezes after a hot summer day.... More

This is the second or third time we have been to spoon bar. Sat at the bar all times and have had really good drinks . They have many specialty liquors and they make their mixers from scratch. Went to dinner at Spoonbar recently in Healdsburg. Food was good but it seemed like the restaurant was still trying to figure out who it was. It felt like mix of a high-end restaurant and a country cafe...and tried to be both at the same time. For example, our dinner incorporated molecular gastronomy but the service and atmosphere was more... More

Great drink menu with craft cocktails. We tried the S'mores dessert and it was delicious though being from Texas, I would say much too small. ;) However, I couldn't get my eyes off of the brussels sprouts on the menu and I'm glad I ordered them post dessert. They were great!

They specialize in cocktails and have a great selection. Small choice for beers, and only had one choice for of an IPA. I ordered the toasted Corn Ravioli Truffle "Caviar", Maine Lobster, Brown Butter Puree, Fino Verde Basil. Great presentation, flavor but was cold when it came out. Server was ok, was more interested in selling drinks because we sat... More

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday with 25 people for an unbelievably fabulous dinner. The service was exceptional, as were the food selections. Their family-style 4-course menu had lots of options for each course. Guests had 2-4 choices for each course, so the variety was really fun and tasty. Another great feature was that we were able to bring a... More

Description
Spoonbar Chef Louis Maldonado serves a menu of clean and simple dishes honoring America’s diverse culinary influences. His artfully-crafted, market-driven cuisine of fresh, bold flavors is built around seasonally-inspired local and sustainable ingredients. The same focus carries over to Spoonbar’s cocktails which use specially sourced organically-grown herbs, fruits and vegetables with an emphasis on locally and domestically produced spirits.

Freeform tables made from reclaimed acacia surround a long, communal table crafted from a split tree. Splashes of color—from the turquoise Eames chairs to the golden floral three dimensional wall art—brighten the open space like dappled sunshine filtering through summer leaves. On warm days and evenings the restaurant’s Cantina doors open up to sidewalk dining.
