We sat in front with the view and fire pit. The garlic cheesy bread was so good! I had the Cajun halibut, delicious. Amazing views. Watched a pod of dolphins swim by.

Wanted to take my husband somewhere new for his birthday - chose this restaurant on very good reviews. It certainly did not disappoint - good food and attentive staff. Could only have hoped for a less foggy day at the beach!

There's no doubt that the location is very nice, and the wait staff were OK too but, that said, the food was just so-so while the prices were high. I went for a business dinner and expensed the meal but I probably wouldn't go back to spend my own money.

Really nice location but food is overpriced for what it is. Service was ok. Liked it much better before it got gentrified. Won't go back.

We met friends for lunch to celebrate our anniversaries. Despite the cold, we sat outside around a fire pit and hung out for 3-1/2 hours. We were toasty warm, the food was yummy and the service was excellent (thank you, John R). We met delightful people and dogs at nearby tables and you just can't beat the spectacular location. And... My wife and I ate here for lunch on Saturday 4/25. We got a nice window seat, a good unobstructed view, good service, and good food. We ordered the following: Fish n chips w/ Alaskan cod - pretty good, not overly greasy. Not the best we've had but pretty good. 3 good size chunks of fish. My wife couldn't even... More

Description
The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and decor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side.
