We ordered our food from the take out window and got a table outside for an early lunch. We had the fish and chips, the chowder and a couple beers. It was inexpensive, quick, hot and delicious. I did not eat inside but it was crowded. There are tables scattered around for outside dining and I would highly recommend that... More

We went to Half Moon Bay hoping to have some fresh seafood. While driving around we saw this little place with a line up of people so figured it must be good. There is a little heated/sheltered outer area and a small packed but not overly crowded inside restaurant right on the waters edge. We ordered mussels and their "awarding... More

I kept coming back for the tasty seafood and cosy Pacific Coast Ambience each time I visit San Francisco. The calamari, clam chowder and rock crabs are just unique and very pleasing! Beats Fisherman Wharf any day in my view and well worth the half hour drive to get there!

My husband and I stayed across the street at the hotel, and first thing in the morning, you can see the fresh fish being delivered so you know they serve very fresh seafood! We only ended up ordering sandwiches from the takeout counter on the outside of the building so I don't know about the restaurant inside. I ordered the... More

Good chowder and will definitely come here for that. The neptune platter was decent. Bring cash here.. they don't accept credit cards and there is an ATM nearby.

I frequently stop by this restaurant at least once a month. They do not take reservations. You have to be very patient and wait for a table. It is worth the wait. The food is reasonable and everything on the menu is tasty. My favorite is the calamari and Crab Louie. This place is casual and it is like a... More

Although the take-out line was long, the fish & chips was delicious and well worth the wait. Outdoor seating is limited. However, sharing a table with the harbor as backdrop is a plus.

Almost hesitate to recommend since notoriety will only make this restaurant harder to dine in. It's small and funky, fish nets on the ceiling, but wonderful seafood. Best clam chowder EVER!! Although I typically head directly for the fish and chips all the dishes are excellent. Cash only, but they have an ATM.

We were looking for a easy dinner before leaving early the next morning for home. Decided to try Barbara's based on 4/5 review. Atmosphere was very casual with vinyl/plastic tablecloths, rustic nautical decor. Basically food was mediocre. I ordered the "Neptune". A small seafood platter. The standard one piece of fish, quite a bit of calamari but only one shrimp... More

This place was recommended to us by the taxi driver. Small, charming dining room right at the ocean with extremely fresh seafood. I had a veggie burger that was amazing and my husband had a Crab salad sandwich and the clam chowder. He loved it. We felt very lucky to get in quickly on a busy Saturday night. Fun to... More
