I went with a friend for lunch while taking a drive along the coast. I am often disappointed in restaurants that are in main tourist areas as they are pricey and many not so good. No so with It's Italia. We had bread to start and I could have made a meal of that alone it was so good. Then... More

Super stylish, great ambiance and delicious food. We went for lunch, a party of 4. One had Maverick's Pizza (ham and pineapple - big enough for 3), carbonara (super garlicky), seafood risotto (more seafood than rice) and the chef's special that day, a deconstructed meatball sandwich with polenta. Enjoyed every bite and every minute. There is a lovely enclosed patio... More

This place is often busy but if you make a reservation in advance, you should be fine. Food is very tasty with a decent wine list - you can bring wine as well. Service is very good. Would recommend this for Italian food in Half Moon Bay.

Dined here upon a recommendation of our local friends and were not disappointed. Nice atmosphere, great service and excellent food. We all enjoyed our entrees and felt there were more than enough choices. All four were prepared perfectly, plated very nicely, and more than ample portions. We had Calamari steak, pizza, seafood risotto, and chicken picatta. No one was unhappy... More

This place specializes in pizza, but it also offers brunch until 3PM on the weekends, and of course appetizer and sandwiches. A group of us came in around 2:30PM on a Saturday to try their pizza. We tried Hatch Wood (my favorite, with roasted portobello, pancetta, garlic and asiago), Tunitas Creek (BBQ chicken, tasted fine, nothing special), Smoked Salmon (a... More

I've been here several times for lunch. This trip I tried the Butternut Squash Soup as a starter and it was velvety smooth and rich. Had the Oven Roasted Beet Salad with Chicken as my main course. Each of the components, beets, hazelnuts, apricot preserves and goat cheese were excellent on their own, but they didn't play that well together.... More

Well, not sure how to start this review. Maybe a little background. If you are not FROM around here, I think you will be pretty happy you came in. I make this distinction because if you live here I am sure you know a lot of little 4 table places that are great, but I've never found them. Having visited... More

We've been going to It's Italia for years and always really enjoyed the food, decor and service. The chicken dishes are especially good as are the appetizers. Last night, however, I was really disappointed to find a 20% service charge on our bill for 6 people. We didn't have a bottle of wine, we didn't spill anything nor did we... More

We've tried different restaurants in HMB every time we came down from Berkeley. Not anymore! Now that we found It's Italia we won't go anywhere else. Delicious food, great service, super nice interior and a very Cody outside patio with fireplaces. Nothing to complain. Go and enjoy!

Description
It's Italia opened in 1997 as a San Francisco style trattoria and pizzeria serving gourmet pizzas, house pastas, and creative salads, always with a California Italian flavor, and a wine list of 10-12 varietals.
Ten years later, our menu has expanded to include steak and seafood grilled specialties, artful antipasti, and a decadent array of housemade desserts from our pastry chef. Over 120 bottles line up on our wine list from Italy, California, France, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand.
As always, we have remained faithful to a local coastal California Italian cuisine, with its cosmopolitan nature, bringing produce and cheeses from local farms, meats and poultry from quality and organic growers, and seafood from a variety of waters.
Most importantly, we are a little local community restaurant that serves locals. Lots of locals! Our advertising is mostly word of mouth. Our energy is inviting, positive, and friendly, and when you come in, you are invited to be part of our family.
