The atmosphere at this quirky little place is wonderful. The staff were really the nicest I've ever experienced. We told them we were thinking of moving to the area and we got so many tips on what to do an where to go. I felt like we'd love the town. And the food. First off, it's not Mexican. It's Chilean... I thought I was going to a typical Mexican restaurant. It's not that at all, not even a little. The menu is very unique, even the free bread rolls are different...I could have easily eaten a couple dozen. I've gotten different meals the few times I've been there, and the have all been very good. It's decorated pretty cool too,... More

Have eaten here frequently recently. The staff is sincere, caring, knowledgable and goes out of the way to please. Chef is one of the most talented anywhere in CA. Large choice of delectable entrees from some of the best burgers anywhere to authentic SA dishes. Love the balance of flavors the chef imparts, and the portions are large and of... More

I enjoyed a fried tilapia over rice. Topped with guacamole splash Sides of black beans and grilled veggies. A great combination.

We love to treat our out of town friends to lunch or dinner at Diego's. We have several favorites on the menu, but always love the wonderful aldente' vegetables that accompany most of the dishes. This is a warm, friendly and eclectic restaurant.

Plenty of menu options. There is something for everyone. Great place for families, it can get crowded so make sure to make a reservation ahead of time! Friendly waiters and good, quick service!

This is a small place with big personality! There is a great menu of out of the ordinary food. Vegetarian options were great and the food was delicious. Cute tables and interesting decor. Would highly recommend.

I heard the hype on this restaurant but didn't find it that special. We came to eat the Lamb burger but after putting our order in, the waitress came back to tell us that they ran out of lamb burgers. Disappointedly we chose the Achiote Chicken. The chicken overcooked and dry. Not sure I would give this restaurant another try.

Hi Mazzi thank you for taking time to write a review. I would like to bring to your attention that we did have two orders of lamb burgers but your whole table wanted lamb burgers and didn't want the two orders. We do source or lamb locally and take pride in fresh ingredients. Earlier that day we had sold 3... More

This restaurant is based on Chilean cuisine, which I am not familiar with, but I have to think they have put their own spin on the offerings. We recently retired from the SF Bay Area where good restaurants abound and have been disappointed with most restaurants in Grass Valley. Diego's is above average for Grass Valley! The menu is really... More

The first thing that intrigued me about Diego's was their menu that I read online. We were surprised that there were quite a few vegetarian items on the menu too. They had a pleasant and reasonably priced wine list. The fish tacos were particularly good. I had the crab rellano, which I was looking forward to having though I did... More
