This historical place was a delightful surprise for the four of us. We found the food to be very good & inexpensive; the service was excellent; & the atmosphere was of a bygone era. I recommend this place to anyone who is hungry in &...around the town of Galt.More
While traveling through the area, we met a local friend at Brewster’s for Sunday lunch. My family fell in love with Brewster’s old world charm! We enjoyed viewing the wine cellar through the glass floor and were delighted to see the late 1800’s bar and...banquet hall upstairs. Our Brewster burgers, cob and side salads and turkey dinner tasted great. Dan and other staff members made us feel so welcome, we decided Brewster’s must be on our ‘To Do’ list for our next visit to the area.More
We were making our way to Monterey, CA from Lake Tahoe and wanted a place to sit down and eat. Found this historic building with Great food and Great atmosphere. Right away when you walk in you look down and see the glass and below...that is the wine cellar! Kinda impressed and not at all expecting! Great Service too!
If it’s a nice day out like our visit was, sit outside, enjoy a beer or two and drink in the quite atmosphere, watch the train go by.More
Galt is a small town but this restaurant had BIG food! Large portions, tasty drinks and a nice atmosphere. Upscale saloon decor in the front..with a 'glass' floor that allows a view down to the wine cellar. Outdoor seating available in a bricked courtyard. Food...was delicious and I'm suggesting it as a meeting point for our work/friends group.More
Brewsters is a great place to have dinner after visiting the wineries in the Lodi/Acampo area. It is in old-town Galt, about 10 miles from Lodi. One enters through the bar to reach the dining area in the back. However, there is also a large...outdoor dining area in a courtyard and the ambiance is great. The dinner menu is extensive including many seafood items and everything we ordered was very good. The only issue was that service was slow and got one or two items mixed up. And, of course, there is full bar service. I would definitely dine here again when in the area.More
We’ve been here a number of times now, eaten the salads, chicken, wraps and burgers and it’s always been a great experience. We love the courtyard when it’s open in the warmer months, but inside is perfectly good too.
Definitely has become a favourite place...when we’re in the area.More
We three met agreeably to appointment and enjoyed a very pleasant lunch and conversation. Service was very good and attentive without interfering. We all selected sandwiches and soup. Soup was tortilla and chicken, spiced nicely. I had a pulled pork sandwich and one my companions...had steak sandwich, I was not attentive enough to catch what the other had. We all agreed Brewster’s to be a good place, and that we would do it again.
I had read other reviews before going that complained of this being inside a bowling alley with poor service and food. That must be a different enterprise, we found all to be satisfactory.More
