The food is excellent and so is the service. Food portions are large. The only down side is long wait for a table.

Don't order the Salmon (although it's good); get the Salmon-toro which is unbelievable. Same for the Hamachi-toro. Even the green salad and edamame are delicious. Get their early or prepare to wait. Service is friendly but sometimes inconsistent. Delete
Amakara is consistently very very good. Sushi is fresh, flavors pop, tempura is light and crispy. Best of all, the lunch specials are reasonable. Service is very good.
I was visiting the US on a business trip and went with a large group of people. The food was great, edamame beans were amazing, and sushi was very good. Like other reviews, I found it very loud and difficult to hear people.

The food quality and service is very good. Just be ready to yell if you want to communicate. The building is a bit smallish and it gets crowded. Its worth a try on a lunch or non-weekend dinner.
