We went to Koi Palace with high expectations grounded in nostalgia. We ate there years ago--back when it was the best dim sum to be had in the dim sum rich Bay Area. And Koi Palace of today does not measure up to Koi Palace of yesteryear. The same throngs of people--and long wait times--as before--but the food was greasy,... More

No matter how early you get to Koi Palace, it will always be a crowded and chaotic. But to their credit- they do have a system, it seems to work. I'm just not a fan of chaos. The food is good, (except the sticky rice) but there are some "surprises" as in, "that piece of pork belly was $22?! eek,... More

Overrated! We waited over an hour to get in. The service is terrible. The waiter/waitress are so rude if you don't speak Chinese. The food is not that good. We are from Chicago and the Dimsum in Chicago is way better than this!

We got there before opening time, had to take a number, and finally got seated after about an hour. Not worth the wait. The only reason we ate here was because visitors from another country wanted to eat here.

Unless reservations are made, be prepared to wait. I am unsure if reservations have a party requirement or if they even can be made for dim sum. Dim sum is served during the day, and dinner service at night. This place is always busy. The dim sum can be ordered off a menu or you can choose off the carts/trays... More

I had been there twice in a week and enjoyed the food on both occasions. The first time three of us had a set menu and there was so much left over to go. The second time with a family of 12 and ordered almost 10 dishes. The suckling pig was very nice especially the skin so crispy, both prawn... More

Great service and great food. The only problem item was calamari. Needed more tea, turned top over and presto, pot taken and replaced.

It's a very popular Chinese restaurant in the area. A lot of dash choices and decent taste. You won't go wrong to choose it when eating out with friend and families.

Always need to wait over half to one hour to be sit. Dim sum is having many choices compare to other Chinese dim sum restaurants. Taste is better on the weekdays than weekend. Not sure the reason but assume weekend is just too busy.

It took us a while to go through the whole menu, as there were so many dishes and specials. The beef and scallop combination was delicious. Probably the best beef I have ever had in a Chinese restaurnat. Large flavorful chunks, tender, and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The scallops were also done right, not too chewy. tables were...
