There is a great deal of restaurant competition in Culver City. I eat out often, and my recent dinner at Akasha was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. I made a reservation and was promptly seated outside on arrival....The service was excellent. There was a choice of 4 draft beers. Their menu lists a number of farms where they source fresh produce. I believe this to be true. I had the beet avocado and cherry tomato salad, which was delicious and beautifully presented. It could easily have been shared by 2 people. For a main course I had the Bali seafood curry which was not at all "hot" but had a wonderful flavor and the black rice was perfect. And there is a nice dessert menu. I was not rushed, the service was very nice, and the foot was exceptional. I strongly recommend this restaurant. And. by the way, I parked on a side street about a block from the restaurant on a Saturday night with no difficulty at all.More

The location is in the heart of the Culver City down town restaurant area. We sat street-side in the Covid modified curb side dining. The road noise was not excessive, except for when the often impatient so-cal driver decides they need to use their horn!...If this sort of noise will bother you, get a table inside. The food was solid and well prepared with good options for both carnivores and vegetarians. Happy hour prices for drinks were much less than non-happy hour prices.More

Akasha is super cute. It is easy to park and the pricing is reasonable. You can sit at the bar area or in seats--there are not a lot. You can also pick up or have delivered. The service is very friendly, but a tad slow...and they need to work on that. The food is really good. We had burgers and my husband had Cod and my grandson had a salad and we were all quite happy with our selections. The food arrived hot and the burger was great. The cod was also very good. I did not try the salad, so I can't say, but my grandson ate it all and said he liked it, especially the dressing. Akasha is located in downtown Culver City in a cute area that is also nice to walk. Have a great time.More

Four of us ate here on a Sunday evening during Dine LA. We all enjoyed our dinners, which included an appetizer, main dish with sides, and dessert. Fairly priced meal for our serving portions. We'll be back!

My wife and I recently ate here and walked out feeling like we’d been ripped off. The food was bland, overpriced, and to top it off, the service was terrible. The waiter was unfriendly and acted like he didn’t want to be there, almost as...if he was doing us a favor by serving us. Very pretentious place, (like they’re a fine dining establishment) except the food is average and boring. Avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other great places to eat in Culver CityMore

I really liked Akasha. The feel of the place is that perfect combination of contemporary and familiar. Ate in the restaurant - had the hummus as a starter which scored points not just for taste, but for arriving with plenty of pitta bread. The menu...isn't huge, so went for a cheese burger - and it was perfectly cooked and tasted great. Sweet potato fries were also a win. Wine list was decent, and although i didnt have a dessert, the choice was compelling.More

Attractive ambiance with full bar. Everyone can find something, even vegetarians and vegans. We went with 3 other couples and everyone was happy with their orders.

The food was bland, way overpriced and the server was rude. Given all the options in Culver City, I can't believe this place is still in business. STAY AWAY

I go there often, love their menu, including the vegetarian options. When the cultured meat option appeared on the menu during the LA Eats week, however, it was very disappointing. A bland patty overcooked to rubber consistency with a huge side of bland rice and...a couple pieces of listless vegetables. No taste in anything. Huh???? Really? I hope they learn how to better utilize this wonderful new meat option.More

Nice ambience. Menu offers many choices. Nice venue for visiting with friends. A good choice for an evening out in Culver City.
