I heard that they’re taking over The Cottage and couldn’t be more disappointed. Really hope they keep The Cottage recipes. We do not need another Bear House, do they really think they are so popular that they need two locations?? Ew. The Cottage regulars will...notice if the food is totally different, we’re not idiots and there ARE other restaurants we can go to. No one goes to the cottage OR the Bear House for the ambiance , but at least The Cottage has good food lol. Do yourself a favor and try The Cottage before it’s gone.More

Went in for a take out breakfast. Very basic, nothing special. Overpriced for what we received. Slow service with more help standing around than doing anything.

This is a locals restaurant in Top Town as you enter the city of Crestline/Lake Gregory. No real atmosphere to speak of but the service and food is good and they have daily specials. Most of their Mexican dishes are authentic. Good place to meet...with friends.More

Great friendly service, small cafe but very cute. Great food, fast service. Food took a little long to get to us but it was fantastic. I will definitely be taking my son and husband there.

Hamburgers are great and so are the sweet potato fries. My husband had the shredded beef tacos and love them. Service could have been a little better. I think she was new

We go here often in this village of Crestline. It is cozy. The food is good, and there is plenty of it. The staff is warm. There are booths and tables, and in the back is a full bar. They serve vegetarian if requested! But...they have great prime rib in Saturday. There are specials each day to choose from. We rarely go when we don’t meet someone we know. The coffee is strong, and the tortilla soup is amazing.More

My mom and I made a stop in here for wine and appetizers. We felt like they were welcoming family into their restaurant. Nice casual atmosphere and the food was decent but not mind blowing. Nice little stop and would visit again.

I live in Crestline and enjoy going to the Bear House with friends for Taco Wednesday. Their prices are reasonable and their menu is extensive but I love their Mexican food so much that I haven't ventured to try other dishes, therefore I can't speak...for them. I would have given this restaurant a 5 but their decor is outdated and old fashion.More

This restaurant has a mix of American and Mexican dishes. We wanted an American dinner (with soup/salad, potatoes and veggies). I ordered trout which was good though a bit over cooked and thin. My daughter had fried chicken which she could not eat. Here's a...tip: don't order the fried chicken. If she wouldn't eat it, there was something wrong. I believe my youngest had a big salad and he ate every bit and my other son had a New York steak. We ordered rare, it came well done. He could also get both fries and a baked potato. He ate it all. Our waiter was lovely. We will return when we go back to Crestline in a few months. There are so few restaurants in town and if you don't ask this place to extend it's cooking parameters, you will probably get a great meal. There was really no way they could have cooked that thin trout well, it could never have been underdone. And the steak was small and thin. Hard to get that rare. I have no idea about the chicken since no one would eat it. Their menu says they have prime rib, hard to mess that up and maybe we will try that. There are two nice Mexican restaurants in town and I'd like this to be a nice American restaurant. So we're going back and give them another try.More

We enjoyed breakfast here. However, they were out of a couple of items. The buttermilk biscuits were very good but quite small. The food was typical diner breakfast quality. We might return when we are in the area again.

When visiting the mountain I used to like coming here. Seems like its become more of a local hangout for the drunks, and the food has before flavorless. Definitely not family friendly anymore. Fights and bad language no thank you .
