Take a trip back in time. See what eating out was like in a 50's cafe. Great heaping plates of food and steaming coffee served in real coffee cups. A real man's breakfast. burgers--malted milks--they have it all while you listen to Johnny Cash and...More

Had a brilliant brunch here whilst visiting San Deigo. Short wait for a table but were staff really organised at managing the list. Great vibe to the place, especially loved the junk boxes. Excellent food and Service. Left feeling very full.

This is a tiny dinner. We sat at the counter. The service was prompt and polite. There is no air conditioning so the kitchen made the entire place very warm. The pancakes are scrumptious and I would happily eat here again.

As usual we made time to visit Claytons twice during our stay. Absolutely love their homemade hot sausage, mix between sausage, chorizo and red pepper flakes. Spices up your eggs with one bite.

This was without a doubt our favorite restaurant while visiting the San Diego area! It's such a throwback to the 50's. We stopped in at lunchtime and sat at the counter amidst clear glass cake servers loaded with cookies, pies, cakes, etc. There was the...More

Great food if you don't mind a bit of a wait. Fun old-school diner atmosphere. We enjoyed our breakfast here on our firs visit to beautiful Coronado.

I grew up in Coronado, in the 50's and Clayton's was a perfect 50's counter/juke box place with great food. It still is. Breakfasts are incredible and so are lunches and dinners. There is usually a line to get in, which shows it's continued popularity.

Straight out of the 50's, with music to complement the atmosphere. Within the last few years it has changed ownership, and "spiffied up" a bit, resulting in improving, rather than losing, its ambience. Food is good, at good prices, as is service. The place is...More

Great restaurant within walking distance of the Hotel Del Coronado. Tried the Cha Cha's Chorizo Burrito and it was excellent!! More than enough but I order a side of the homemade corn red and hash to sample .... pretty sure I could eat here for...More

Little old fashioned diner, most likely you will sit at the counter. We sat next to two service men. The wait staff wears cute aprons, the food is diner style. was just fine. Fast service and inexpensive. Food is good for a diner.

When you arrive they will put your name on a list...The coffee shop is very busy, but I'm sure they will be able to accommodate your party of 4 in a reasonable aount of time
