We had 10 people and the food was very good, but the service was slow. We were on the second floor by ourselves. The piped in music was very loud and it took us 4 requests to have it turned lower.

We used tripadvisor to find somewhere in Coronado to have a Saturday morning brunch. We were very fortunate to choose Chez Loma. Located in a wonderful original residence, this hotel has been here for 40 years. It is fresh and has a wonderfully warm atmosphere. We were greeted by the owner and had first class attention thoproughout. I had an... More

Chez Loma, Coronado Ca., advertises itself as a French restaurant. We can attest to that. We have spent many months in Paris and at Chez Loma you get the feel of Paris. You can almost imagine yourself on the Rue Clare in the 7th Arr. The food was exceptional. Well prepared and served at the appropriate time and temperature. Servings... More

Recommended by our walking tour guide this bistro turned out to be a highlight of our short visit to Coronado. The three beets salad was refreshing and delightful. The entrees (beef and lamb) were plated beautifully and came with mouthwatering sauces. For dessert, the red wine pears were fabulous and my husband (who tries creme brulee wherever he goes) said... Simple homey décor, attentive service, food was the best. My filet was the BEST I have had in ages. Shrimp cocktail excellent and Pot de crème was perfect. I would definitely recommend if you are staying in Coronado.

If you plan to visit Coronado in the near future make sure that you dine at Chez Loma. My wife and I have visited Coronado several times over the years and have not found a better restaurant. Not only is the food fantastic, but so is the price. They offer an "early bird" special (arrive before 6 pm) from Monday... More

My wife and I ate at Chez Loma during a recent visit to Coronado Island. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had escargot, duck, and sea bass. All were perfectly prepared. The prices were very reasonable for the island and coupled with the excellent food and service, Chez Loma is probably the best value on Coronado.... More

Brunch selections at this very pretty, bright and sunny bistro make for a delightful weekend treat here in the heart of Coronado. My eggs benedict with smoked salmon was delicious. Make sure to ask for a side order of their french fries which are very thin sliced, crisp and seasoned. While the entree selection is small, all of the offerings... More

Our new San Diego home is located in the Carez Hizar House (circa 1889), a Coronado historical landmark on Loma Avenue almost at the corner of Orange Avenue. We are within walking distance to beautiful downtown Coronado, the Hotel Del Coronado, and the beach. A French inspired bistro where people feel comfortable and enjoy fresh rustic fare at reasonable prices. Sourcing locally to achieve maximum freshness and offering our customers what they want instead of following culinary trends. If your desire is a casual tapa at the bar or a dinner with friends or colleges, Chez Loma under new management, offers an inviting space to relax, enjoy and socialize.
