First time today. Great Job. I would maybe like some vegetables as a side, maybe cabbage. Everything I had was good. Shumai was good. I got the bbq mix and will order it again probably for dinner. Good flavors, great portion. Nice touch with an item to get me to try something new. Hope you keep this going and look forward to many more meals! Thanks Josh

Nothing like I expected. The food is different but good. My wife really likes it. I don’t go here unless she wants it

Truly flavorful and delicious. Large serving sizes. I got a mini with the Kahlua pork and its enough for 2 meals. So happy a friend recommended this place.

My "mini" meal lasted for me for two meals, both quite filling. The serving sizes at Halo Hawaiian are generous indeed. Hubby and I tried two different meats, each served with the same delicious (but not necessarily nutritious) sides. Hubby is especially fond of their macaroni salad.
I want to go back for a poke bowl. Those look magnificent!

I really enjoyed my poke bowl. There are so many options and the sauces choices were great! The service is very fast even though they seem to be really busy every time I go!

Portion was so huge that 2 or even 3 persons could share one plate. The grilled chicken and kalua pork were excellent! The bbq beef was above average and the shortribs were average. Would come again if I'm ever back here.

Hearty portions at a good price. The bbq sauce is money. Genuine Hawaiian macaroni salad is addicting. Fresh poke bar is amazing.

I love this little shop for poke. Today was the first time not a long line. It was 104 outside. I got the poke bowl. I got to pick from 4 main starts. Then ahi, salmon shrimp and one I forgot. Crab salad was a no cost add. Spicy may over that then more adds like edamame, seaweed, onions, and more. Spicy mayo on top of that too. There are other choices but I love the stuff. Clean place. I get a cup fir water. They have fountain drinks and asian drinks. Food is always good and fresh. Highly recommended.

I've wanted to try this place for a while. I found out they serve Saimin and I was so excited. I haven't had Saimin since the last time I visited Hawaii.
They make it fresh so it took a few minutes for it to be served. I had the chicken version.
The dashi broth was so, so yummy! The chicken thigh meat was abundant, and the noodles were thin and chewy. It was so hot I ended up taking it to go because I kept burning my mouth.
All the other dishes that were served looked yummy too. The portions are large and the food is authentic. They have a Poke bar too.
It's a small space so you may have to be prepared to take it home.

My wife and I have visited Hawaii a few times, even got married there. Halo Hawaiian BBQ & Poke Bar is okay as far as Hawaiian goes. However, three of us visited Halo and had three different entrees. The seafood dish was all deep fried and so was the egg rolls the other individual had. I had the short ribs plate lunch and found it to be just so so. The rice was okay, however the macaroni salad was obviously commercially made, not in house. The short ribs were very, very, thin with a great deal of fat and gristle. Not impressed!! Will I return?? Have to thinik about it.

I suddenly was in Hawaii. I went at 2PM and the place was packed - every table taken which was fine I was planning to get to go anyway. Although there is other food I went for the Poke.
2 scoop white rice (perfect white rice) plus 3 scoop one each different raw Tuna. Included add ons of avocado, crab salad, cucumbers, green onions, seaweed, fried onions and 3 other exotic add ons and there I was-- in Hawaii.
This place rocks if you want to have a taste of real Hawaiian food in Chico. Brings me back to the days a friend who was raised Hawaiian took me to the Islands and let the culture flow over me. Thanks for the old memories Halo Hawaiian BBQ.

So happy to see this place open up a few months ago around the corner from our house. The only negative is the size inside and the availability of tables. My guess would be that only 12-14 people could sit inside. We have probably eaten here 15 times since it has opened. We always get ours to go and eat it at home. With that said the food is great ! Plate lunches taste the same as if on Maui. A scoop of Mac Salad and two scoops of rice along side your meat of choice. Poke bowls are fresh and made to order with a ton of toppings options. Aloha !!

The Poke bowls are amazing. The fish is fresh, firm, and tasty. The wait time is minimal. It's a small place with outdoor seating. Friendly staff and great food.
