Nothing fancy here, however we enjoyed our food for lunch. We would come back. Very casual, order your food and sit down and enjoy. Fast food like but not a fast food restaurant.

Love that you can serve yourself on drinks! Chips and salsa came with the meal and were excellent! Food was fresh and tasty! Staff was friendly and really seemed to appreciate our business! Looks old and small but eat here!

This is the real deal, small corner taco shop, delicious, delectable, authentic tasty yummy. We ordered two items: The beef stew with a spice that resembled cumin, a variation of Birria or bacerra, possibly; it was not barbacoa as it was not shredded, there were chunks of meat in a sauce riddled with flavors, a red sauce.Though I wasn't certain of... This place is not fancy. It's a basic restaurant with chairs and tables. The food, however, is home made style and very well prepared. There is a lot of it too. From the crispy chips and salsa to the flan it's all like Mamacita would make at home.

Not a whole lot to say other than get a burrito or rolled tacos (taquitos). The large sign outside will say taco shop. Across the street from Trader Joes

Don't understand the ratings here. We're from San Diego where the Mexican food is superior. This was ok at best.

We grabbed a quick breakfast here, and we were not disappointed. I got a sope and my husband had some tacos pastor. The chips were good and the salsas were very tasty.

Best small Mexican restaurant. We usually get take out and my favorite is the chicken enchilada. My husband likes the machaka (sp) Las Carretas has been in same location for over 10 years. Depending on what time of day, the parking lot could be crowded as there is a lively bar next door. They are open all day, serving breakfast... More
