The food was exceptional! The service was fast. The decor could use some help, but otherwise we loved our breakfast here!

Smack-dab in downtown Carpinteria - Cajun Kitchen serves up the regular breakfast fare as well as Creole faves. Grits, blackened shrimp omelets, beignets dusted with powdered sugar - good sandwich and salad menu - and lots of other goodies!
Alway friendly and great food. We never miss eating at the Cajun Kitchen Cafe when we are in town. All of my family agrees that they love this Cafe (breakfast / lunch ) both are great!
We like this place so much that we end up adding 40+ miles to our trip from home to SoCal (and back!) just to stop at this restaurant (and take advantage of the beach for a rest stop). We seem to be luckier with crowds...More
I was really surprised that a restaurant in California could make gumbo and étouffée and really get it right! This place has delicious food. Paninis are big and very, very good. Great food at a great price. Great staff.
We went for Breakfast as a family. We did not test the Cajun food but more classical breakfast food. Good service, good and tasty food, good price.
After receiving recommendations from many of the "locals" we tried this place and we were not disappointed. Excellent service, nice location, and prices were family friendly. We went back a second time during our short visit to Carpinteria or "Carp" as the locals call it....More
