We went on a drive south of carmel for about 20 minutes, what a great drive, but not many restaurants. We came to a sign for this restaurant and decided to stop. It is huge, plenty of seating and almost all of it right next to the windows with great views of the ocean and rocks below. Our server was... More

Husband and I had lunch today. Table by the window with a very scenic view of the ocean. Service was stellar. Goid was superb. We shared mandarin wings, they were sweet and spicy. We each ordered a sandwich; grilled chicken with onion marmalade, French dip with tangy horseradish mayonnaise. Everything was great. Service spot on. View was perfection. We'd go... More

I've only had lunch and drinks here, but hope to have dinner there in the future. The burgers are killer, prepared on wood fired grill. The views are by far the best in this region, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Was recommended by my Monterey friend to go and have lunch there. When we arrived we were blown away by the views of the place. The food was varied and was good, could be better. Service was good and most of the tables had a view.

I recommend coming here if you are with your partner, very romantic spot for some dinner. We arrived about half an hour before sunset and the views were stunning. They were very busy and we had to wait half an hour for our table. Once seated the waiter was very attentive and knowledgable. The food itself was okay, overpriced, but... More

We were seated next to a family of 12. The waiter gave all his attention to this table and we got terrible service. For a $200 lunch one would expect to not have to wait 15 minutes for a drink order and have to ask four times for mayonnaise that was ordered the first time with a sandwich. The chicken... More

Beautiful views on the cliffs, overpriced food. The place has really bad acoustics, the restaurant was 1/4 full and still very noisy. The food: We ordered the Caesar salad with grilled prawns - store bought lettuce with 2 cherry tomatoes, no flavour or nutritious. Calamari strings - a little soggy but really nothing special about them, store bought dressing.

If you look at a visit to Rocky Point Restaurant as being more about a fine view (actually, an awesome view) than fine food, you will appreciate it more. The food here is lackluster but not terrible, and the same can be said of the wine list. But, it's priced like fine dining. This is off putting when you open... More

My wife and I had intended to head further south to Big Sur for lunch - but stopped at Rocky Point due to the road closures further south. It turned out to be an excellent decision. The restaurant sits on a beautiful point a few miles south of Carmel with spectacular views of the coast. The facility itself is attractive,... More

We visited this restaurant not so much because we were hungry, but more for the fact we wanted to eat with a great view of the coast. It was Easter Sunday lunchtime and we managed to get a window seat without any problem, but I think we got lucky as people were having to wait when we left. I can't... More
