Many choices, nice service. This isn't delicate or professionally extravagant creations. This is dense sugary comfort food. If you are looking for something unique, this isn't the place. If you want to smash your sweet tooth, it is. I'd go back.

It is impossible to walk past the window with children and not come in for a treat. They enjoyed ice cream on the spot. I came back the next morning for a bear claw that was big enough to share among three people. Delicious! The large cookies were somewhat disappointing, not very flavorful. Would come back for another bear claw... More

Stopped in for a quick sandwich. Although I didn't try any of the baked goods or sweets, the caprese sandwich on focaccia was pretty good. A cute little stop in bakery and next time I'm in town, I'm going to try the homemade pretzel which looked delicious!

We stopped for a coffee and a pastry which were very good. Their lunch case had a number of good looking salad and appetizers. If we had more time in Carmel I would have gone back to try their lunch as well.

We stopped in to get pastry and burrito for breakfast. Pastries were excellent (Napoleon, eclair, danish) and the sausage burrito was huge and very tasty! High recommend this spot for an excellent breakfast that is filling and inexpensive. There are a few tables inside.

Whenever we would drive down to Carmel (and we did that often when we lived in San Francisco), we always made this our last stop. Everybody chose a "goodie", and then we could go home. They used to have marzipan then, and that was a real favorite. So, now, 40 years later, my husband and I just had to stop... More

We came here last year and had to visit again. The smoked salmon sandwich is very good and generously filled, chicken Caesar was ok nothing special. Apple strudel and brownies are scrummy, so much so we came back for lunch again the next day. Cinnamon and chocolate pastry also very good.

great stop for mid morning coffee and pastry . the bakery dates back to before the founding of the city so it's more than 100 years old. the atmosphere is very pleasant the treats tasty and not overpriced. Don't forget to buy the doggie cookies , I did and my dog loved them all

You can tell by the lines that this place is someplace special. We weren't disappointed by the pastries and ice cream. The prices were a little high, but considering the location it wasn't unexpected. Highly recommended... we went twice while in Carmel!
