I absolutely love this place. It is tucked away just a quick walk from downtown. The restaurant is built on multiple floors on the side of the riverbank. You can either walk down beautiful stairways along to bank or take a cool, old-fashioned cable car type elevator down to the entrance. Inside it is beautifully decorated and one room even... More

Saw the ad in the newspaper and decided to go. Took our chances cause you really should have reservations no matter what day of the week. But it's winter and it had been raining a lot. They took us in with no problem even though space was limited due to renovations on the upper part of the restaurant. We took... More

Fantastic dining experience. Multilevel restaurant on a hillside above the water provides great views of forest and water. The food and service were superb. Trolley from the parking lot to the main floor makes access easy. Make reservations!

Excellent Moscow Mule in a copper cup although they called it a Warsaw mule with vodka from Poland. Dinner was blackened lamb with glaze carrots and for dessert bread pudding and an Kelly's coffee ( Irish cream Baileys and coffee) Great service tentative waiters good wine selection and definitely would go back again. it's a bit expensive but very impressive.

Had a wonderful Christmas dinner here this evening for the first time with my daughter. Everything was perfect! The waiter we had was Wyatt. What an energetic, very accommodating great guy! Service there was like none I've ever experienced, I did not feel rushed. Everything came out in a perfect timely manner. We were checked on often enough not to... More

We visited The Shadowbrook with our daughter, who lives in Santa Cruz. My wife and I each had the petrale sole almandine which was delicious. I finished it off with a mud pie which was really scrumptious. They were very busy and the parking lots were full so I had to park on the street. I apparently missed one parking... More

The complimentary cab right there was fun. The elevator / tram going to the restaurant was super cool. The gardens above the restaurant were also great. However, the restaurant itself was mediocre. The food was pretty good my husband's trout was excellent. But didn't feel like the food was delicious enough to justify the price. However many people seem to... More

This is the place to come for a great dinning experience in a park like setting. The food is as great as the service. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I hadn't been to The Shadowbrook in years and visited last month! We were happy to see it was still a beautiful place, with excellent staff and fantastic food! Thank you for the great evening!

We are trying to patronize local restaurants during the off season, and also look for special deals. Tuesday is happy hour in the bar, all day long, and it was packed. Service is really outstanding with very professional wait staff, and the entire place is really beautiful. The bar, despite higher noise levels, is really the nicest, compared to the... More
