We called and ordered take out. When we arrived, the food was ready to go. I took a quick look at the dining room and it was rather small. When I got home, the food was still steaming hot, which was great - especially these...days. The food was quite good and the portion size was large. The only downside is the guy handed me my food rather than stand back and let me grab it - and they were not wearing face masks.More

Very nice curries -- we had the chicken tikka and a nice spinich / channa mix. But the fish tandoori was disappointing. Very dry and no flavor. Very frustrating since this was why we decided to order from them.

Family brought us here to eat as a treat. The place still had several empty tables as it was a Sunday night. Despite that, the servers were constantly cleaning away our table as we barely had time to put our forks down, not even asking...if we were done. By the time they had done that to 3 of the people in our party, we started telling them to stop. They did not. Between refilling our water glasses every minute and taking away our plates and cutlery before we were done, it felt like they wanted us out or would not trust us with the plates, glasses, and tablecloth. The food was middle of the road, everything having nearly the same texture and taste even though we ordered (and shared) vegetarian, lamb, chicken, and other dishes. It seemed like only the colors were different. Felt like all dishes were just a sauce put in the blender covering some chunks. The nan was hard to tear apart, too chewy and hard and again we ordered 3 different kinds and they all tasted the same, only a few specks of herbs seem to differentiate them. The price was right however.More

We had chicken Tikka masala and tandoori chicken... both were super delicious. I don't know why there were not many people here because the food was delicious and the price was fair. We are visiting from San Diego and if we ever make it back...we'd love to try more things off the menu!More

The lunch buffet was affordable and had a great selection of Indian foods. It was a little on the spicy side for me but there was plenty of cucumber sauce to take care of that. I will try it for dinner when you can order...rather than partake in the buffetMore

Lunchtime buffet 7 days a week. The buffet rotates daily with various dishes featured each day. Consistently good food at a great price. Dinner offers a broad menu of dishes that have kept me coming back for some 26 years. Service is very attentive and...the wait staff is able to give great direction on dishes you may have never tried before. Great for family, friends, and business not to mention great if you just want an excellent meal by yourself.More

Royal Taj is a great place to eat if you are looking for some Indian cuisine. I often grab it as take-out and they provide large servings - way more than 1 person which is a great value to share or keep and have left-overs....I have tried many dishes and have never been disappointed. The Aloo-ghobi is one of my favorites if you looking for a vegetarian entree or side dish, and their naan is wonderful, warm and fresh tasting.More

The food is okay here. The inside of the restaurant is very dark and the general building is pushed back in a parking lot. They could work on the building here and make it more welcoming.

Ok...this place is an oasis. On a busy street next to fast food, but inside it is nice, good decor, and excellent food. This place has been around a long time and I keep coming back. A good place for a date with the wife,...or food with friends. Small but friendly.More

Went here with family. Food was very good as in past visits. Lamb gal Frazie was tasteful. Only the food deserves the rating. Will go back for the food with family but not for business. However, room is not at all attractive and the indian...chants on the speaker system is distracting. Price of $10.95 for main course is very reasonable. The listing of imported indian beers included Kingfisher, which on the bottle said brewed in Saratoga Springs, New York.More

If you like spicy food, you will like it here. If you are like me and ask for mild and really mean mild, you won't like it. The place doesn't know how to make mild food. Everything is hot and spicy. Its tasty but if...you are a wimp like me, you can't taste it paste the burning tongue and watery eyes.More

I love Indian food, I mean not in a passing 'I'll eat it occasionally way,' but in the 'I could eat this every day of my life' kind of way. I'm English and so I consider good Indian food essential to civilisation in the same...way that my American friends view that great Mexican food is a constitutional right. To get Indian food this bad is clearly quite an effort and one can only assume that they are doing it this badly because they want Gordon Ramsey to pop in and get them on television. Now that might be a laudable ambition but unfortunately the poor customers are collateral damage in the chef's quest to make reality television. To be honest the alarm bells were ringing at the overall cleanliness of the place, I mean to be honest if I took my Labrador into a kennel that was this dirty I'd turn on my heels and cancel my holiday plans. However compared to the disaster that was the food the filthiness of this place was a mere sideshow. I asked for my chicken Karahi to be a little spicier than normal as I find that the American take on curry is a little milder than what we get back home. But nothing could prepare me for the blandness of the of the dishes that I was presented with. Great Indian food is a fine balance of garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, tumeric, fenugreek and asafoetida to name but a few, what I was served up had no discernible spicing. When the waiter asked me how the food was I informed him that it was as devoid of flavour as Yul Brynner's head was of hair. He scurried back into the kitchen and returned with dishes that tasted exactly the same as when they left the table. I left my food and asked for the bill, the final kick in the knackers was that they actually presented me with a bill for this travesty - have they no shame ? I paid the check and told them in no uncertain terms just how bad this was, but rather than sending the manager over they just shrugged and gave me the look that suggested that they heard this every day and were passed caring. So my advice is, avoid this place at all costs.More

I was staying down the road at the Residence Inn and felt like getting some Indian takeout. I had seen this place earlier in the day, so decided to give it a try. I called them up on the phone, gave my order, and was...able to pick it up in 20 minutes. I'm a vegetarian, so I can't speak for any of the meat dishes served here, but my friend and I were pleased with the vegetarian dishes, shahi Paneer, malai kofta, vegetable biryani, papadam, mint chutney... all pleasantly spicy. I have eaten a lot of Indian food at many different places; this restaurant is in the top 20 percent. Impressions: Quick, friendly service, good value, tasty, nutritious food. Will return again (and again...)More

Had a fantastic dinner at Royal Taj! Ordered the Chef's Special Thali Tandoori Chicken, Seekh Kabab, Boti Kabab, Chicken tikka, Gosht Bhuna, Mattar Paneer, Pulav, Nan, Raita and (1) Tandoori Prawn (kind of weak to advertize on the menu and then only give one). It...also came with dessert. I had the rice pudding. I could not be more pleased for $17. The portions were good and the taste was authentic Indian. Also Enjoyed a Mango Lassi (yogurt drink).More
