I had a delicious burger and salad paired with a glass of perfect Syrah in a comfy and elegant atmosphere. Would definitely go back!

We went to Brannan's on a recommendation from a local. We had a complimentary starter and sparkling wine for using our Calistoga Winter in the Wineries pass as well. We both had a Caesar salad to start, the salmon, the lamb, and chocolate cake for dessert. The food was good, but for the price point we really wanted to be... More
Reservations at another Calistoga dinner did not work out. We went to Brannan's hoping to get a table. Lucky for us that they had a table at a time that they were booked full. They were very gracious and we were VERY appreciative. They saved the night. One at our table uses the drink SideCar as a partial judge and... More
I ordered the wedge salad...how can you screw that up? They claimed the blue cheese was Point Reyes Blue, but there was so little you couldn't tell what it was. The lettuce tasted like it had a ton of preservative on it...for anyone who is sensitive to that you know where I ended up! $15.00 for a belly ache!!! To... More
Taking a solo trip to wine country for a little R&R I went to Brannan's for dinner the night I arrived. Although they had plenty of open tables they pushed me to sit at the bar.... by myself that was ok. The menu was short but good. The duck was terrific and the onion soup hot but just OK. The... More
We generally go to Calistoga once a year and last year I had the best lamb I've ever had at Brannon's. Before this year's trip I called to make sure the lamb was on the menu. Unfortunately, it wasn't, but the general manager offered to ask the chef if they could put it on the menu the week of our... More
This is a very pleasant restaurant with lots of wood paneling, a fireplace and very good service. The food was not bad, just not as good as some of the other local choices. Mussels tasted a little ... off, bread was stale, a bit too much oil on the salad. Food was average, wine selection above average.
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch on a rainy winter day, all cozy and warm inside. We ordered the daily specials: steak tartare and the cuban sandwich. Both were very good and filling. Steak tartare was served with a lovely raw egg on top and toast points. Really good, though I would've liked a few cornichons with the steak tartare. The... More
My cousins and I had dinner last night at Brannan's. We were seated quickly, drink order taken and then it went down hill from there. We were just ignored. Dinner was good, bread a bit dry and tasteless...but food overall very good. But unfortunately service was simply...well...non-existent.
