I attended a family dinner on my first visit to this establishment which occurred between the two lockdown Covid19 restrictions. This is a family-run restaurant featuring Lebanese cuisine including wine. My partner and I shared an order of the " complete meal" consisting of appetizers...(hummus, baba ghannouge, vine leaves, rekakat, kebbeh and fattoush salad) and a mixed grill (grilled kafta, shish taouk, and shish kebab with a choice of two side dishes).Everything was expertly prepared and cooked and was tasty and delicious. We accompanied the meal with a Lebanese white and red from chateau Ksara. The dessert (pumpkin pie) was homemade by a very young precocious chef. This restaurant is a definite keeper.More

We have had the pleasure of dining in three times at Elissar, and recently, owing to Covid-19 closures, we ordered and picked up. The food in this family run restaurant is authentic, fresh and delicious. The fatoush salad is the best I've ever tasted and...worth the trip alone. The wide variety of hot and cold mezze starters are delicious, and the meats in the mixed grill are tender and expertly spiced. The chicken in my brochette was so tender and juicy, the salmon with a pistachio crust is so good and on the one occasion we had room for dessert, we were treated to a traditional and delicious Lebanese dessert unlike any I've ever had before. On our first visit, we were surprised to learn that they have a very small wine list, with only Lebanese wines. Having never had them before we didnt know what to expect. We were offered a sample to try and had no hesitation ordering a bottle of the full bodied red. It's very good and we were happy to find it at our local SAQ. They also have a less full bodied red for those who prefer it, and of course a choice of white, and a well stocked bar. The dining room is beautifully decorated and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with Lebanese music which adds to the experience. The service staff who are the son and daughter of the owners, are friendly and helpful, and go above and beyond to make your evening pleasurable and relaxing. If you are craving truly authentic, not chain restaurant Lebanese food, then Elissar won't disappoint.More

My Lebanese grandmother always made home-cooked Lebanese meals when we visited her, so I know what the "real thing" tastes like. Elissar's dishes are authentic, flavourful, well prepared and beautifully presented. Their prices are quite reasonable and the portions are very generous; we ordered two...Complete Meals (take out) a couple of weeks ago and had enough for a second dinner. PS--they are open during this lock-down for take-out orders. Lucky for us, we live close by and are picking up a meal again tonight.More

We are visiting from the United States and we saw great reviews for this restaurant so decided to give it a shot. We are so glad we did. It’s unlike any middle eastern restaurant we’ve been to before. Food is authentic. Chef clearly cares a...lot about presentation. Classy yet affordable. Staff is so friendly and accommodating to our long list of allergen modifications. Next time we’re in Montreal we will make sure to enjoy another meal here!More

We have been here 4 times now over the last 6 months and everytime the food is excellent! top notch ingredients prepared perfectly, the flavors are prominent and not "dumbed down" like in other similar type restaurants..the dishes taste like they are suposed to taste!..the...prices are very reasonable for the quality. It is not a bring your own wine place so the total will go up if you are a big wine drinker, but their wine selection is good and they gladly let you have a taste before deciding on which one you prefer. The owner is super attentive and friendly. Portions are generous and when we start with an appetizer there is always something left over to take home.More
