One of the benefits of living in this area is the variety of food available. However Mingalaba goes beyond being different because the food is prepared so well. There are a few Chinese stand-by dishes like Kung Pao chicken, Beef Chow Fun, Walnut Prawns ...etc. but the real treat is the Burmese dishes. Examples are Paratha, Mango Prawns, Burmese Style... Best Asian food (mango chicken) I have ever had. A+. The wonton soup was also fantastic. They even made my kids General Chicken with grilled meat instead of deep fried. I wish I lived out there.

Food here has always been consistently good. This place is small and always busy so make sure to make a reservation for a big group or be prepared to wait.

The food here is an interesting blend of Burmese and Chinese dishes. We always order the Burmese dishes as they are more exotic. The Tea Leaf Salad is terrific, as is the Samusa soup. Love the curries, and the coconut rice is terrific. Burmese food is a cross between Thai and Indian foods, plus interesting seasoning in classic dishes. This... More

Catch 22, excellent, reasonably priced food in small restaurant = long queues. I have dined several times here, but still have to figure out a quiet time when we don't have to queue. Never had less than a great meal.

I've been a fan of the place for quite a few years but always for dinner never for lunch until last week. I tried the combo lunch of Tea Leaf Salad and the Basil Spicy Fish and for the first time ever joined the "clean plate" club. But I didn't feel too bad because it really was a relatively healthy... The food is delicious but because it is relatively small and very popular, it is hard to get in. You might be waiting a while for a table.

The service was poor - a very stern person waiting on us, communicating in short monosylabic sounds. She just didn't seem to want to be there. The food was mediocre. This place is popular, but I don't know why ... a couple doors down is another Burmese restaurant that is much better. I returned for a third visit, giving every... More

I went with a group of four friends to Mingalaba Restaurant. Our party of five ordered a Paratha (crispy pancake), two orders of Samusas, two orders of La Pat Dok (Tea Leaf Salad), Garlic Noodles, Burmese Style Vegetable Curry Delux and coconut rice. We also have one glass of sparkling wine each. The entire meal with tax and tip was... More
