Today, my husband and I took a drive up the coast and stopped here for lunch. It was a weekday, about 1:00 PM, and was somewhat of an overcast day. The restaurant was not crowded at this time. We were quickly seated by a window by our pleasant hostess, and immediately served fresh delicious bread while our order was taken.... More

Great water views, good menu with lots of fish and other meat for you non-fish lovers. Site where The Birds was filmed - tho doesn't look the same.

Though a bit pricy, food is savory and service excellent. Fried oysters are my favorite as is the sample appetizer. Located overlooking the water with ample parking.

We were driving up the coast and found this gem on the way...we are so lucky we stopped for lunch. We sat by the window overlooking the Chanel and had a spectacular view of the water. We ordered from the menu although they had some delicious sounding specials. The soups were terrific, the fish was fresh and seasoned well, the... More

Our first visit to Bodega Bay and we decided to stop for a light brunch. We sat next to the windows where the view was so relaxing with the water and harbor seals in the distance. The service was exceptional. Always on top of things. My husband had the clam chowder with a chicken Caesar salad. He really enjoyed both,... More

When I lived near Bodega Bay it was a treat to go to The Tides. The food was excellent. Not anymore. My server had a serious attitude issue. He was snippy and could not bend on anything. No substitutions, nothing. Well when I'm paying $30 for a simple meal I should be allowed some minor changes. The wine list is... More

We both ordered fish and chips with a choice of soup or salad and bread. Soup was good, plain salad, bread was not anything special. The fish was crispy and cooked well, but no taste. The tarter sauce, which normally I love on fish, tasted like straight mayonnaise. The chips were warm, but mushy. This cost us $23.50 plus tax... More

Nice views of the harbor. When it's busy service can get a little slow. Food was fine. Pastries were good, too.

The location and view are the best part of restaurant. The food prices are on the high side, but overall food quality was slightly above average. The hot sourdough bread was excellent, but my crab sandwich was bland. I love crab which usually has slightly sweet taste, but this sandwich was tasteless. My daughter had the hot crab sandwich served... More

We wanted a meal with a beautiful view & chose this restaurant exactly for that reason. We enjoyed our meal a lot, the view as well, and fine choice of wines. The service was slow but our waiter consistently smiled--which made up for the delay in service. We purchased some pastries from the bakery but the taste was just "meh".... More
