Excellent "Mom-Pop restaurant. Homemade corn beef hash on the "Irish Benedict". Best I've had in years. Also yummy sausage and home fries. Great stop.

We fly into the Big Bear airport and walk to Thelma's for breakfast, lunch but have not tried dinner yet. Very nice people and descent food. J
I have had ribs here a few times I ordered all you can eat ribs last sat I only had one order the only charged me for Reg rib dinner not all you can eat price Food is always great Great place for a fair priced dinner You won't leave hungry
The wife and I live in the Big Bear Valley and have been to this place once before several years ago. We were not impressed on our last visit and decided to give it another try recently. This is one of a very few places that offers fried chicken and it was very good as was the service. The only... More
I have not been in Big Bear in over 20 years. A friend of mine took me to Thelma's on Saturday night for ribs. It was All You Can Eat and they were good. What was not good was a new service waiter. He was not able to take the order and was a bit awkward. The regular waitress was... More
The food was good at a good price. Service was fast and a little chaotic. They brought the dishes as they were ready, not for everyone at the same time. They should get a lot of repeat business.
My wife and I stopped in for a couple of Ortega burgers. They were excellent. We have eaten here a lot and service is always excellent. One of our favorite places to relax and eat a good outdoor lunch.
Stopped in to partake of the touted chicken pot pie. Yes, it is big enough for 2. Waitress even warned me. Comes with either soup or salad. I got the excellent clam chowder, big bowl. The pot pie was very good but I have had better. Wife just wanted the soup and a hot dog. Dog was a very good... More

Pie is in an oval casserole about the same size as a 9" regular pie. Really, really big. Service can be spotty at times. For years... More
I have eaten breakfast here about half a dozen times, and it was always ok until today. I ordered bacon and eggs, scrambled with a biscuit and gravy. My plate came, the eggs were over easy. I few minutes later, the waitress returned with a plate with scrambled eggs. Ok, it was fixed. But those eggs were absolutely awful. They... More
