There were 10 of us at dinner. We ordered a variety of food - the shrimp creole, the voodoo shrimp, buttermilk fried chicken and the jambalaya were a big hit as was the mac and cheese. The cost is generally around $15-$18 for entrees. The desserts were also very good - we had the bananas foster cake with ice cream... More

While visitng Oakland I had a list of restaurants I wanted to check out and Angelines was one. We went for lunch and the place was not crowded but it wasn't empty either. The ambiance was good, our waiter was attentive and professional. I'm not a Cajun food expert and I don't pretend to be. I'm from NY. I ordered... More

Really enjoyed the boudin sausage starter, but the jambalaya str ayed to far from traditional flavors. The addition of mole ( or spices with similar flavor) was closer to Texas than Louisiana. Can't beat the service or the Amber Abita beer. That's the real deal.

I've had the jambalaya here a couple of times and it is quite nice. The portions and prices are in line for the area and the service is decent.

A rainy Saturday afternoon we found our way into Angeline's Louisiana Kitchen. We had never been before, and the large crowd inside, combined with a craving for Louisiana cuisine seemed the perfect match. I was with my wife, daughter, son-in-law, and two grandkids. We shared dishes so we could enjoy as many as possible. I used to live in New... More

All the food we tried was excellent, service was excellent, ambience...we look forward to returning. Angeline's is soooooo close, but this was our first visit; it definitely won't be our last.

Great vibe, great staff, great food. Don't miss out, but do make a reservation or you're likely to be disappointed.

The seasoning is definitely NOLA, but the ingredients often scream CALIFORNIA, such as hush puppies with honey butter, grilled andouille sausage with arugula. wild mushroom Jambalaya, and a muffuletta sandwich??? Yes! And low fat, high veggies, often vegetarian or even vegan. Two of the three of us had the wild mushroom Jambalaya, Lordy, is my new favorite. A huge hearty... More

The food was very good along with good service. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about menu items. Reasonable prices and great atmosphere with blues music playing. I do recommend this restaurant.

OMG! Stop reading. Go to this restaurant. If you've ever been to N'awlins, you'll feel you're back there. They have it all. Get there.
