This place is consistently delicious. The pain perdu is one of my favorites and the scrambled eggs with cream cheese are always perfect. The ambiance is wonderful as well. I've been coming here for years. The only negative is the without-fail line outside and the often times slow service. But, overall, beautiful French inspired restaurant that will not disappoint.

My wife and I were at La Note on successive weekends for brunch and lunch. We first began with brunch and had the French toast (my wife) and the lemon gingerbread pancakes. Both dishes were extremely tasty. The following weekend for lunch my wife had the pan bag at and I had the lamb merguez sausage on a baguette. Again,... More

I've enjoyed two entrees at La Note: The Ratatouille ($16.00), which is served over couscous, is hearty and traditional. The vegetables are well cooked (soft, not crispy), but the dish is tasty. The Raviolis du Jour ($15.50) are filled with fresh ricotta, topped with a creamy parmesan sauce, and the garnish includes fresh sweet grapes. Service is cheerful and friendly.... More

I've been here more than once and it's enjoyable, but not worth the long waits that you may experience at prime time. I had the lemon gingerbread pancakes with poached pears, and and the middle of the pancakes were still gooey and partly raw. However, the flavor of the cooked pancakes was good and it's a cute restaurant, I just... More

I like this place, i really do! I hate the wait, not their fault, but when you see groups of two walking in as they arrive while group of 3 wait interminable, something is not quite right in managing table size. Food is great. Price is reasonable. Sitting very uncomfortable, especially if you sit in 3 seaters facing the windows,... More

La Note is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but the 8 am to 3 pm Saturday and Sunday brunch is one of the most popular times, as is evidenced by the lines. On Saturday at 10:30, the wait was only about half an hour -- and well worth it. The brunch menu has something for everyone, and everything is... More

Let me start by saying the food at La Note is always good. Not cheap. In fact, rather expensive for a low-key, casual place. But the food is fresh, well-prepared, deliciously evocative of Provencal (French) cuisine, all that. But this is a restaurant that does not seem to know how to handle the many people who show up for lunch... More

Took us 30 minutes on a weekday at lunch in a not so inexpensive place! Obviously popular. A good range and good food. The soups, eggs benedictine and Nicoise salad were excellent. 20% mandatory tip and an exhortation to tip the waiters more is perhaps Californian, not very customer focused.

Visited this restaurant on vacation, and thought everything was delicious! We actually went here two days in a row, because everyone loved it. My family of four ordered the cinnamon brioche soaked in orange-water batter, sprinkled with lavender honey (Yes, it does taste as good as it sounds), the lemon gingerbread pancakes with poached pears, the oatmeal raspberry pancakes, and... Never been before, but will return. Pastry basket! French omelettes, mocha in bowl, atmosphere, delicious food. Well worth a trip to enjoy a Francophile experience. Lots of devoted regulars. Just delightful!!
