Awesome place! We had breakfast here after reading reviews and it did not disappoint. Erica's french toast is a must! Will definitely go back when we come back to town.

My husband and I stopped in Berkeley on our way to Sonoma. We stayed at the Claremont Hotel but wanted something more home style for breakfast. I checked Trip Advisor and found Rick & Ann's. We waited longer than the 15-25 minutes we were told but whatever we were on vacation. We had the Eggs Benedict and my husband had... More
Always busy so not the best choice for large parties-mid morning. Hashes and scrambles. The pancake variety is yummy. We usually share one egg dish and pancakes. We love the midwest, potato pancakes, Takes a while, we get a scone or muffin as an appetizer.
Service is great once you get a seat as there is often a waiting list as the breakfasts are superb. Park behind the restaurant in the lot to avoid any troubles (on Claremont) If you are a tourist, this is a great way to soak up the local environment.
My brother and I slipped in here quickly yesterday for breakfast - and it was great!! We were lucky as we were a party of 2 and they could accommodate us at the bar. Friendly service. Loved the variation on breakfast comfort food. I had scrambled eggs with cheese, corn pancakes, sausage and sourdough toast. Service was efficient and quick... More
Berkeley is full of very good restaurants and Rick & Ann's is among the best for breakfast. Homemade turkey sausage, omelets made to your tastes, baked goods, real pancakes, and all made with free range eggs, whole grains and other healthy, fresh ingredients.
The breakfast is very good, the service is fast and friendly and the value is very good. The casual family friendly atmosphere made the experience nicer.

The highlights were the potato pancakes (hash brown mix) and smoked pork chop. I enjoyed my food with a perfectly... More
I was staying at the Claremont so breakfast here was a no brainier. I arrived to long lines and a 30 minute but since I was solo, was seated at a communal table right away. I ordered a short stack of buttermilk pancakes, bacon and coffee. Pretty basic, but nothing to write home about. A few doors down is a... More
