Back in 2016 I gave this place 5 stars. It barely deserves one now. I don't know if they changed chefs or recipes but I will never return. Tonight I got their gluten free pizza of the day. The gf crust was not edible. I...don't mean it was hard to eat I mean it was impossible to eat. Shoe leather. They need to go to Mariposa and ask them how to make gf pizza crust. The pizza was greasy. It was an awful cheese with red cabbage and nuts. What person not high on some kind of substance would choose to put that on a pizza? Gross. I tossed it in the garbage. Do not bother with this place.More

Visited Berkeley in 1st week of September and a friend recommended cheeseboard pizza. First expression looking at the wait queue was, is it worth it? However after waiting for about 40mins, when I had the first bite it was definitely worth the wait. The pizza...was delicious and flavorful and yet light, we also took the hot sauce which added to the taste. Also the folks at the counter served with a smile, typical of the family run local business I have visited elsewhere. Would definitely visit again if in Berkeley!More

Recommended by many Berkeley students, we tried this pizza place. They offer one sort of (Vegetarian only) pizza and salad every day. The place is very popular, so expect queues. One 22$ pizza serves 3 persons and tastes very good, definitely recommendable.

I have frequented the Cheeseboard since it opened decades ago. I think there would be a massive protest if they stopped baking certain favorites ( e.g., brioche, pecan rolls) and yet they continue to offer new items. Recently, I bought a double chocolate cookie, and...haven’t tasted a better cookie anywhere. Do try them! I also snagged a Meyer lemon, almond scone. Another winner! If you haven’t had an opportunity to shop at the Cheeseboard, I highly recommend a trip. If you encounter a line for the pizza, there is likely to be live music so the wait can even be enjoyable.More

long lines, happy customers, the pizza nazi's are actually quite nice. The only choice is pizza of the day - at least they force you to try new stuff - but always exceptional.

I usually hate getting food advice, but the people working the cheese were extremely knowledgeable and great to talk with. There was a line and a wait, but once inside we were not hurried at all. The Scones were also fantastic.

The pizza of the day is announced on the web site. There is just one selection, but it is always great, and it is always vegetarian. They know how to make pizza! There is always a line outside, but it is worth the wait. If...you are looking for pepperoni with tomato sauce, this is not your place... The crust is perfect. You can eat it there, or take it home. It is one of the few co-ops left in the Bay area.More

Omg, WOW!!!! I can’t even put into words how much I loved this pizza. It’s so light, fresh and tasty... And the sourdough crust is truly brilliant! Simply amazing. And don’t let the long lines scare you - they move really fast and the food...is totally worth the wait.More

This is a heavenly place for cheese lovers like me! I have tasted the best blue cheeses! I have discovered new flavors and textures. Definitely worth the visit to get stuff for a picnic at a park. Or to gather fantastic cheeses for the host.

Always great pizza (one kind per day)with live jazz! Vegetarian only. Seating is both inside and outside) but sparse. At dinnertime there's always a good wait. Oh and they offer gluten free , too! This, a Berkeley icon@
