My wife entertained an out of town work visitor and another collaborator. Delegating me to find somewhere in Berkeley, predominately vegetarian, open for dinner, 4 stars minimum, took credit card, served alcohol and had available seats for Thursday night. After scouring Yelp and Tripadvisor, I offered her 5 alternatives. The Mount Everest was the one chosen at random. The service... More

I love Indian food, and don't often run into a Nepalese restaurant. The food was good, but not excellent. I had the vegetable samosas, which were fairly standard; the green sauce for dipping was the best thing about the meal - it was spicy and very flavorful, moreso than I am used to. I then had the Palak Paneer, my... More

We stopped by for a quick lunch here and ordered the standard lunch, which comprises of a few fixed items plus a dish (main course) of your choice. I asked for Palak Paneer and the others ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and Chicken Saag. The food is tasty, prices are pretty reasonable, the total cost coming to less than $26. Service... More

The restaurant was packed with people and we had to wait for more than half an hour even it was 8 pm. The food was ok but not great. The best is the naan bread. I had better chicken tikka and other dishes before in other Indian Restaurants. So, it was so so.

Staying on Telegraph Avenue, there are loads of cheap places to eat but very few quality ones. Not wanting to go too far or wanting to drive any further than we had, we had more or less given up hope when we came across Mount Everest. This lovely Nepali restaurant offers a mixture of Nepali and Indian food. It is... More

We stopped by on a whim and we're pleasantly surprised. The lunch speciald were very affordable and the quality of food was great. If you are looking for a nice Nepalese/Indian restaurant I would recommend this on in a heartbeat.

We love Indian food, but often after a large meal of it there can be some discomfort. That was NOT the case here, as they use fresh, organic ingredients, and do not use excessive fats and oils. We had their chicken curry, aloo gobi, raita, onion naan, saag paneer, basmati rice and mango lassi. We ordered mild for my wife's... More

I've been here twice in the last two weeks; was able to get a table right away both times, so not too crowded, but not a dead silent atmosphere either. They have really delicious Chicken Tikka Masala which I prefer over the more tomato-heavy taste of other curries found at the nearby House of Curries and Indian Flavor Express. Also... More

Staff was very nice and helped us order what we wanted. Plenty of food and very affordable. The chicken MoMo was great. The Naan was delicious!

We've eaten here on their great Groupon offers so many times in the last few weeks that my kids are sick of curry…in a good way! We always find something new that we enjoy, and the lovely servers are always happy to work with our Nut Allergy and dairy sensitivity. The garlic Naan shouldn't be missed, and the Kukhura Ko...
