After so many days, I was able to find one restaurant with authentic Indian taste, and it was great. Tried mutter paneer, and vegetable biryani and I would say that the chef did justice to the taste. Loved this place.

Went with family for dinner. Good space and ambience. Interior done with Nepalese décor and is run by Himalayans too. Loved flavour of goat curry, taste of chicken with Indian styled bread ( naan) and rice. Reasonable rates too. Would love to dine again

It was not overcrowded which was great. We sat right down and had very prompt courteous service. The Mango Lassi is a delicious drink that goes well if you like your food spicy. We had two chicken dishes and one lamb with rice and naan. All were tasty. We would come back for more.

This was our 2nd visit to Berkeley and we again dined at Taste... It was again outstanding. The vegetarian Mo-mo's were great and on par with those we ate in Kathmandu. Would highly recommend!

I have been going to this restaurant for years, and it is a treasure! Over time, I've sampled many, if not most, of the items on the menu, and have been delighted with them all! On my most recent visit, with an Indian-American friend, who also happens to be vegetarian, we had a wonderful meal, starting with Samosas for an... More

read the earlier reviews and decided to give it a try for dinner. Yes, it was good but not memorable. Had a fish curry with coconut sauce made with salmon....ho hum. This is a fairly small restaurant and the service was prompt. Complimentary condiments were very nice.

This family owned and managed restaurant was a staple for my family when we lived in Berkeley. Raj and his family are incredible cooks and they have some unique dishes. My favorites are their vegetarian Momos and their Chicken Tikka Masala.

Our family was vacationing in California and it was suggested by family that we go to Taste of the Himalayas. The suggestion was a chance to experience perfection on a new level. Their food is served in small size brass bowls and since we ordered multiple dishes we were able to enjoy family style dining with our party of nine.... More

There are dozens of places to try Indian cuisine on the university avenue but tried a new one this time on Shattuck. 1. All of the items are highly overpriced. The portions are not according to the price. 2. the food tasted okay. actually I took chicken biriyani and TBH they don't know how to cook biriyani. Lots of cashew... More
