Popped in for a couple of beers. Friendly pub but very quiet. Would have expected a few more punters in the bar on a sunday afternoon, but it wasn't to be. Enthusiastic new managers offering a vegan/vegetarian menu. While I admire them for that, this...More

Very enthusiastic new young owners of this pub, which has only been open for one week following a six week closure. Their ambition is to provide a successful vegan/vegetarian restaurant with quality ale and live music and entertainment. My partner and I are carnivores but...More

During our week long visit to Newton ferrers, this pub became our regular. It's disorganised, a bit rough around the edges but what is lacking in professionalism is more than made up for in character. We had several false starts..... Missing gigs, missing chefs, food...More

Lovely surprise after reading negative reviews. Good service and excellent food (beer battered fish and chips) and a real community feel about it. Lively and welcoming.

It’s a Saturday night in August, you expect it to be busy, and it is. Frankly they did not have enough staff behind the bar. Simples. However, you have to breath in, be patient, and double order... it’s not the people behind the bars fault...More

Very odd question, especially because Jo B's reviews if the pub are the most critical. My impression is that the pub is in the up and that it would do the owners no harm to answer potential cusromers' practical questions.
