Popped in here for a couple of refreshments after a long walk near Jedburgh. Very friendly, chatty staff who offered swift service. Nice to see local craft beers on tap, some only brewed just down the road. Sat outside in the sizeable beer garden to...More

We stayed in Jed for a week in May and the Carters rest was our pub of choice. The food always looked good too.

Very pleasant place indeed. I had a very good steak cooked to perfection, wife's salmon was excellent and daughter really enjoyed her vegetarian walnut and blue cheese crepe. Great pint of local Foxy Blonde as well. Recommended.

It does a good early evening trade. Food is well cooked and balanced menu. I was a little disappointed with the chicken curry but I had had a super roast beef meal previously. Seems popular with the locals

We ask that you understand our food is cooked fresh to order. There were 25 Rotary members and other bookings due. We are sorry we couldn't accommodate you that particular evening
