Called at late notice and asked could they accommodate 10 us wanting to watch a rugby match and have lunch. Although a busy Sunday they still managed to look after us and we all really enjoyed it. Very good service and a wide choice on the menu. They even asked me if I wanted to change my order of roast... More

Stepped in out of a wintry March day for some chowder by the open fire. It was lovely, really relaxing and cosy. The chowder was tasty but the portion size was very small for the price. It was quite busy where were there, lots of family events on. So we decided to book a table for lunch the following day... More

This is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is always amazing, the atmosphere and surroundings take you into another world and the price is reasonable for the quality you get. Make sure to book in advance though.

I had dinner here with a friend tonight and it was absolutely delicious! I had the Brie for Starter which was amazing and the Burger for my Main Course- cooked to perfection in the house wood burner. Unfortunately I couldn't squeeze dessert in but I'll know to make room for it next time. Many thanks to Ronan and his lovely... More

I'm really hesitant to give out 5 star reviews unless somewhere REALLY deserves it (and we've been to a few excellent places this last year), but this place really made the grade for a 5. It takes about half an hour to get here from Letterkenny, so we haven't been out in a few years. Lingering memories of really enjoying... More

Description
Our restaurant is located on the shores of Lough Swilly, at Fahan, Co.Donegal, in the premises of The Railway Tavern which was formally the Station House of the Londonderry & Lough Swilly Railway Company (L&LSR)..Our Main course dishes are cooked to perfection on our wood burning Firebox Grill, just like in the old days were the engineers on the locomotives, used their firebox to heat their snacks !The Bar and Restaurant still have the old fires blazing which create a very cosy , snug room to eat or drink in ..
