Whether you just want soup and a roll, or something more, there is a menu to please most appetites. The staff are friendly and helpful and welcoming. There's plenty of space between tables so you can have a relaxing meal without being interrupted by others coming and going.

It's a great location and lovely tea rooms. Looking a little tired now and there are so many signs telling you what you can't do. They seem to have a thing against children enjoying themselves. Glad we didn't have any with us.

Interesting setting within a garden which has places to sit both outdoors and in little pavilions. Beware of the wasps!

Such a shame as a lovely space and location. Agree with previous reviews, very slow and inattentive service although there were 4/5 people working when we were there and not many customers so not down to lack of staff. The menu board of cakes was not reflective of what was available which was disappointing. What we did have was nice... More

For too long the tea gardens have relied on the setting and idea of a quintessential English tea garden. It is not cheap and the whole service aspect needs a revamp. It also has pretty uncomfortable seating.

We looked on the web site to see opening hours it said open daily until October. Yesterday Monday 12th September we thought we would go. We travelled by car from Tonbridge to Alfriston parked and walked for roughly an hour to the tea rooms only to discover that they are closed on a Monday. we were very dissapointed.

This is very much, an English tea garden, in my opinion anyway. Simple cake and snacks, cream tea, scones and cucumber sandwiches. I wouldn't go here for a meal, but if you know what to expect it's ideal.
