We had dinner here the last night of our stay on Nevis! It was such a good experience. Amazing beach, great food, and a place to meet people with live music. Outstanding. Looking forward to coming back for a visit!

The wait staff and kitchen went out of their way to meet the needs of one of our group who is celiac and vegan. The meal was awesome. The menu has a good choice for anyone, although they only serve the crab cakes after 2 pm, so none for lunch!

Thank you for your kind review. As long as we have advance warning, Chef Gary and his team will do their best to cater for any dietary requirements. Those crab cakes on the bar bites menu are very popular! Perhaps I can twist Chef Gary's arm to add them to the lunch menu! More

We ate here a few times and each meal was a huge disappointment, poorly cooked and indifferent service.

Food very basic and very expensive with the service charge and other taxes adding 22 percent to the bill. When asking for fresh food the answer is salad everything else is either frozen or comes out of a tin. The 'chef' is rude, aggressive and spends most of his time sitting at the bar with his drinking buddies, that just... More

Prices on Nevis are expensive. Fortunately the prices at Oualie are more affordable than most restaurants. Sorry to contradict you, but most of our ingredients are fresh locally sourced veggies, salads fish, conch and lobster. Yes our steaks are still imported so would be frozen for safety. We are privileged to host Chef Gary a former lecturer at the Culinary... More

The peas and rice, a staple in this region is yummy. It's not green peas but lentils. The BBQ ribs are yummy and melt off the bone. Meals are available 3 times a day. You might get Peter ( a small finch bird) to come and eat sugar out of hand if you hold still long enough!

Those Oualie ribs are famous! Chef Gary produces nightly mouth watering specials. Do also try Caribbean night on Saturdays when the local chefs get to showcase their local Nevisian cuisine! More

This is a superb beach. Loungers provided by the hotel restaurant and no charge. Used as a waiting area for the water taxi to St Kitts ( a great way to get between islands ). Had a light and tasty lunch with beers and a coffee. Often live music in the bar in the evenings.

Yes we have a superb beach. The beach loungers are free as long as you are using the restaurant. But please respect that the loungers in front of the guest cottages are for the in house residents. We have live music almost every night. Rock and roll band on Tuesdays. Steel pan on Wednesdays. Flute and saxophone jazz on Thursdays.... More

The lunch menu is very simple however the beach view and relaxed atmosphere make up for it! The staff are very friendly, and the prices are very fair!

Absolutely the best beach! We do our best to keep our prices affordable. As a result it is one of the few venues where you will find a nice mix of tourists, locals and resident expats. More

We do have the best beach in the Federation! The draft Carib beer by the pitcher is always a favorite particularly when accompanied by our Chef Gary's lunch specials. More

The menu was very disappointing & they regularly ran out of food. When I asked for a salad to accompany a steak I was given a plate full of lettuce leaves. The poor waiter said the kitchen had run out of cucumber & tomatoes!!

You are absolutely correct. Keeping a restaurant stocked on a tiny little remote island is always a challenge. We use fresh locally grown produce where ever possible. The one food wholesaler on island is stocked once a week by container service from Miami. If the island is out of tomatoes then yes we are out of tomatoes as well. The... More

Description
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The perfect dining location right on the beach. Reservations are recommended in the high season. Unlike most restaurants, we insist on serving FRESH FISH. Lobster, Tuna, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi are brought right into our dock from the game fishing boats and kept on ice, never frozen. We believe in promoting "farm to the plate" and work closely with local farmers to ensure a FRESH supply of vegetables and salads. Our local tomatoes are ridiculously tasty!. We work with the Ministry of Agriculture on the supply of locally grown , grass fed, organic beef and have created the demand for a tender, tasty hybrid cross between the Zebu and Red Pole cattle breeds. Again this is always FRESH and never frozen. Our dinner menu changes daily to incorporate what local foods are available and always has at least one Gluten free and one Vegan dish.
