Too good to miss!

We were walking down the street having visited the old town on a quiet, cold day out of season and as we passed the restaurant we saw a waiter carrying a plate of food upstairs which looked so good we decided to go in and grab some ourself. Even in March there were a good few people eating there and it had a lovely atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and cheerful, the food was indeed delicious and very reasonably priced and their olive oil is probably the best I’ve ever tasted. As a young couple travelling on a budget it was well worth spending the money and filling our bellies with delicious local food! Highly recommend!!

I can't really express how impressed we were with our visit at this restaurant. We got much more than what we were looking for. Great atmosphere, delicious local food and the best service one could ask for. We felt special and welcome here. We tried the vegetarian plate, some cake and home made pomegrenate juice and wine, which by the way you can also buy and take home as a great souvenir for yourself or your loved ones. If the great location and food would not be a good enough reason for a small detour, you'll also get the warmest, most generous service here. The attention they have for the smallest detail, like offering to replace your untouched coffee in case you'd like a warm one makes every visit at Bedem a unique and amazing experience. We wish you guys all the best and thank you for your service! I'd recommend everyone to check out this place at least one, you for sure won't regret it. If you have a little time, check the Old Fortress of Stari Bar just on the corner, making your visit into a good half day trip.

Best place to eat in Bar!

Best place to eat on Bar, maybe even in whole Montenegro. Staff is very friendly and helpful and their polish is very good :) The portions are huge and all food is of top quality and tastes great. Mix of grilled vegetables+meat that they recommend for 2 people is probably enough for 3 :D You must visit Konoba when you're in Bar ;)

Best atmosphere, best food and best waiter

Have you ever heard of the pomegranate beer? We hadn’t. That is why we decided to visit one of the restaurants at the walls of the Stari Bar, Montenegro as we saw the advertisement of that beer. Our waiter Afrim helped us to make a choice and we were so grateful for his advice to take a vegetable plate. It looked like art. There was a feeling of visiting museum where you can see, touch and taste the most specific things of the Montenegro national history. Thanks to everyone who made this place so extraordinary. Thanks to Afrim for the opportunity to feel like home. I am sure we will come here once more and take our friends and relatives to get acquainted with this nice place.

Their pomegranate wine is simply outstanding! The food is great as well, locally-sourced and traditional. The staff members are such warm and friendly people, very courteous and willing to help (Afrim was the one who helped us and is the reason we were so satisfied with the service). This place is well worth a visit and we'll definitely be going again whenever we're in the area!

Wonderful place, delicious food

My friends and I (5 people) were visiting Stary Bar (The Old Town) and stopped by to check out the menu. When we saw the waiter serving one of the tables we immediately decided to try a few dishes. The food was amazing: grilled shrimps with a choice of side dishes, a seafood plate - fresh, tasty, thoroughly cooked and served. Don't miss a chance to try the local beer, olive oil, and homemade bread. The staff was friendly and helpful - they made us feel at home.

Worth a visit

A place with a very pleasant atmosphere. Very good service. We ordered a traditional vegetable platter and a meat platter for two. The portions were very large and I believe it would actually be enough for at least four people. In addition, we tried pomegranate beer and pomegranate wine. Both were very sweet, but good. The prices are rather average in European terms or even a little cheaper.

Delicious local food. Great atmosphere. Very helpful service. I have organized birthday party for my daughter there. I'm very satisfied. I recommend this restaurant to all of you, who appreciates home made, fresh meat and sea food.

Visited the place twice recently, and both times everything we've ordered was absolutely delicious. The vegetable plate is probably the most impressive dish, though meat and deserts were really very good as well. The staff is very friendly, we really felt welcome. The location and the atmosphere are very nice as well.

A must go place the food is incredible. So reasonable and honestly simply delicious. We went because of the reviews we will go back soon because of the quality of food. Amazing Montenegro sized portions (big) Great friendly service, lovely pomegranate beer! We sat inside as it was raining it was very cute chic. I'm not sure about some of the neg reviews but I'd like to say we visited late on a quiet evening we were the only people there. The food came in good time and was fresh, hot and was brilliantly cooked. We really look forward to going back. Thank you for having us!

Very nice and cosy restaurant with very kind staff. Thank you Đorđe for guidimg us in buying all delicacies and recommending excellent food. We were lucky to visit it out of the season so we easily found a place. They make their own olive oil and some liquers. Nice little cellar next to restaurant with excellent wines. Food is magnificent. Vegetable platter as a starter was delicious. And beef steak with mMediteranian herbs and olive oil was a master-piece. A must-go if you are around city of Bar. I definitely will.

Fantastic evening

Every single thing was amazing. Waiter Kenan was great, funny, smart and fast. He assisted us with the choice which wasn't easy at all having in mind the size of the menu and our wishes. We got some complementary homemade current baklava and everything was fresh and delicious.

After the good reviews we visited this restaurant. Price performance was ok. For the hype that the restaurant has and the reviews, not understandable. Staff is not really dedicated and friendly. Meals are ok but nothing special. Food and plates were not very warm, rather cold. Are better alternatives in Stari Bar

I was reading reviews and had to see by myself. I have to say high score is something that this restaurant really deserves. We had "ćevapi" and fried cheese and everything was delicious and fresh. But pomegranate juice is something that everyone should try. We will certainly come again.

Excellent service at the beggining, food was more than amazing. We've eaten fish, octopus, mussels and squid. We've also tried beef steak. The food was magnificient, service was verry proffessional and the whole ambient was at top level. P.S. I would reccomend their own homemade white vine
